Children of Dune

Bought this on DVD (2-disc) as a blind-buy alongwith a TON of other movies, both old and new recently, because I m totally fascinated with Dune. (will post the complete list in Recent Acquisitions as soon as I finish sorting the shit out)


Anyone else seen this? I couldnt watch it when it was shown as a mini-series some years back.

So...whats the report guys?

Saw it, Loved it.
Nothing compares of course to reading this series first, but I do think they did a nice job with this one.
The one word I think sums up this dvd: Lush

i have Lynch's Dune - loved it
I have the made for TV Dune - thought it was pretty good
(followed the story line more closely but the characters werent as rich)

i have the made for TV children of dune - but i havent watched it yet..
should do though ... i'm a big big fan of the books

Looked it up on amazon and IMDB. Sounds pretty awesome from what I read till now. Gotta watch it the first chance I get.

i wonder if they'll do Dune Messiah after that ?

if so they should stop there .. the books become unfilmable after the initial trilogy
