Bloodrayne 2!
Malthe in Uwe Boll's BloodRayne 2
Source: Brightlight Pictures November 6, 2006 Brightlight Pictures announced today that Natassia Malthe (DOA: Dead or Alive, Elektra) will star in Uwe Boll's BloodRayne 2. Released on DVD earlier this year through Visual Entertainment, BloodRayne marked the first time a theatrical release was packaged with the complete original PC game which inspired it. In the BloodRayne 2 movie, as in the game, only Rayne, born of the unnatural union of vampire and human, stands between an unsuspecting humanity and a horrifying vampire dawn. The screenplay is written by Christopher Donaldson and Neil Every. In addition to the "BloodRayne" franchise, Brightlight Pictures and Uwe Boll have partnered on a number of features, directed by Boll, including House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark and the upcoming Postal, Seed and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, starring Jason Statham, John Rhys-Davies, Ray Liotta, Leelee Sobieski and Burt Reynolds. "'BloodRayne 2' marries the vampire, action and Wild West genres, and we are very excited that this movie is going to innovate a fantastic new look," says Brightlight Pictures' Shawn Williamson. "I’m excited to do a sequel to 'BloodRayne' and this time in the Wild West. I'm a big fan of Sergio Leone and John Ford," says Uwe Boll. |

Who the hell is giving this hack more money to make bad films? I guess he must be making money for somebody even though he's become a joke among most of us.

I know that I'll watch it, because I simply can't resist...BUT
I am SOOO dissapointed with the way the first one turned out *******************************SPOILERS*********** ************************* If it's even POSSIBLE to spoil this movie BloodRayne may not have been TOO terribly bad, if they had given it a different name...Because, the person in this movie was NOT BloodRayne...and this movie was not ABOUT BloodRayne. It makes me wonder if Ewe Boll ever actually played the video game, watched anyone else play the video game, read or heard ANYTHING about BloodRayne, other than the fact that her name was BloodRayne, she likes swords, and she's a dhampyr ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhampir ), maybe he looked that one up... The chick in this movie did not have BloodRayne's caustic, ascerbic, biting, sarcastic, wit and attitude...Which is a HUGE part of her personality...She did not have her emotional strength, another strong attribute that Rayne possesses...She obviously lacked Rayne's intelligence, dominance, power and independence, which are also blatanly present in the REAL BloodRayne The main character in this movie was a weak, helpless, crybaby...and a danger (the REAL BloodRayne is an asset) to everyone who allied themselves to her. BloodRayne travels solo...She fights solo...She needs no one...She can defend herself...She doesn't get close to anyone...And no one gets in her way...She does NOT lay down and cry...She doesn't scream and wail like a weak, helpless little bitch...She doesn't have to depend on someone else to rescue her and to feed her... The character in this movie was DISGUSTING...She allowed herself to be captured, caged and tied up at LEAST 3 times...Each time she was desperate and had to wait for someone to rescue her...Then she allowed her rescuers to be killed...The LAST time she was rescued, she actually sat and WAITED for someone to throw her swords to her, before she could do anything...Apparently she's completely helpless and useless without weapons...Pathetic BloodRayne is NOTHING like that...If she doesn't have a weapon, she has skills and TEETH and she knows how to use them...and BloodRayne would never be swayed from her mission, distracted from her purpose, just to grab some dude she just met and fuck him...What the hell was THAT? And where the hell were the nazis...Or at LEAST the zombies?! This movie should have been called 'Damsel In Perpetual Distress' Hmm...And I didn't even mention the fact that she LOOKED absolutely nothing like BloodRayne... Now you guys know why I have never given my opinion on the movie 'BloodRayne'...I knew it was gonna take a while (even though I STILL left out a lotta shit), and I hate typing.
