I think the saw movies are kind of like the original few seasons of the x-files. Not terribly spectacular, but very cool, and i could keep watching as long as they dont get too crazy. they have great twist endings too.

they got a lot to keep up with......i thought that final destination had the same problem but they overcame that by bringing back the original writers and directer for the 3rd film......both had a lot to live up to

It's hard to say on Saw 3....
I thought the twist at the end of the original punched a lot of holes in the plot and made the whole movie sorta lame. Conversely, I thought the twist at the end of the 2nd one was great and made perfect logical sense. I enjoyed the second movie more than the first by a wide margin... Not sure how I feel about part 3, but I'll certainly check it out. Anyone know a release date yet?

I can see by reading this thread that SAW has kind of a split fan base....
