The Dead Hate the Living. Others have tried to explain to me why this is a bad movie, but I still love it and watch it over and over. In fact, I'm going to say it loud and proud: I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!:D

I wouldn't say I love it, and if I did I wouldn't have a problem with loving it, but Titanic is just fine for me.

The sets, the actors, the soundtrack, the running time... I like it all - especially when it's on telly at Christmas.

I think sometimes it's okay to go along with the Hollywood (boat) ride - their ideals, morals, perceptions... the whole whack. Even a 'king of the world' prat like James Cameron.

'Easy Cinema': turn on, tune in and switch off.

So long as there's a 'difficult' dead Granny-raping German affair without subtitles to figure out for the main course.

:D

i had a really tough time with it ..i loved the set design ....

and thats about it ..

i would have preferred a story that stuck to the survival on the sinking ship - not the big love story/bad guy junk that was thrown in .. it was just so ... top heavy - no pun intended.

nice to see david warner getting some work .. still menacing at his age - but he could do so much better..

Thats what I do as soon as that pile of shit pops up on the screen. Well that and use some language that'd make Jesus cry and ruin his birthday. But each to their own :)

It's interesting how Titanic provokes such spitting reaction.

Perhaps it is because [a] it is seen as a vehicle for a handsome actor, [b] because it is a love story or [c] because it doesn't feature any violence or 'dark' rock music.

These factors will never do in a horror forum.

;)

hell no man !

some of my favorite movies are old school romantic comedies and i'm more than happy to chat about them here ..

i pity anyone (or just blame it on youth) who sticks to the horror genre alone - that would be pathetic.

Titanic was just a bloated mess for me .. i didnt approach the film not wanting to like it - i just let it happen and it really hit me the wrong way ...

i didnt have fun, or find it clever ...

i think i feel the way about it that you do about a lot of the UK stuff you feel misrepresents your part of the world ..
well - in a way - but different :p

like Miami Vice .. i know at least 3 britts who rushed out to get those boxsets (you zwoti and our old bearded pal) and absolutely dig those shows ... when i always found them to be an embarrasment.

(i did like The Sweeny though :D)

for a guy who values risk taking in film i'm suprised you liked this one at all !
