I thought it last summer when I saw the teaser, I all but totally convinced myself of it after a couple documentary specials I've seen in the past 2 weeks leading up to the Friday release. Now I'm completely convinced and disappointed that the film probably has way too much talking/explaining.
Oh well, still have X-Men, Pirates and Superman.

I refuse to read the book and I'm only seeing the movie if I don't have to pay for it (seeing it with my parents for the free pop-corn and the previews)
I can't stand the fact that a fucking dimestore thriller novel is getting all these specials on the national geographic channel.

I was looking at that earlier, I love it. Tom Hanks is getting to that level of stardom where he thinks everything he does is gold. Punch that fucker down a peg.
And Ian McKellan is in so many movies I'm seeing him in my sleep.

Just to see what all the fuss is about I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD, but I also think it looks pretty dumb.

I'm not ripping the movie (if anything, I'm ripping a BOOK that I've never READ), I'm just sick of hearing about the fucking Da Vinci Code like it's some sort of investigative expose on some bible conspiracy when it's a fucking dimestore thriller novel (yes, I keep using that phrase to describe it, because THAT'S WHAT IT IS!). I'll rejoice in any bit of bad reviews it gets. Maybe if it gets trashed enough, I won't have to hear about it anymore
