I'm not trying to start an argument here, really I'm not. But I think that Patton is quite possibly the most overrated musician ever. I've heard a lot of his stuff (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantomas) and I just don't see what makes him so damn great. Am I missing something that's really obvious to everyone else, or what?

Mike Patton is definitely pretty cool.
Fantomas is my fave with Faith No More being my least.

Faith No More was my first exposure to Patton, and I got into them when I was really young (I had the hook to Epic stuck in my head for a LOOONG time before I even knew who FNM was), so I'm kindof partial to them. Mr. Bungle was number two, but Lovage took that spot real quick

have you heard that stuff he did with Melt Banana? I like that band anyway, but the addition of Mike Patton was great.
