He got his name removed from the credits of Prayer For The Dying didn't he?
The whole gangser genre has been spent so hopefully he won't end up in tired shit like that (but there's always room for innovation in the genre so it could work). I'd really like to see another Barfly style movie cause I think he could pull that off even more amazingly than the first time after being down n' out over the years. I think he'd put more soul in a character like that now.
Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and all those guys are a joke to me. There always Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt in a movie and never have variety in there preformances. There just icons with no heart. Watered down and crucified on the gossip pages.

Yeh I enjoyed those films aswell as Fight Club but his recent roles have just been garbage. Same deal with George Clooney, he was awesome in From Dusk Till Dawn and then lost the plot doin cheeseball flicks. Haha and don't get me started on post-Romper Stomper Russel Crowe :)

Yeh I'd have to agree with you on that one. He's in a lot of stuff I wouldn't bother watching and makes the unwatchable watchable. But yet again I'm biased I just like my tuff guy roles

I noticed you guys talking about Angel Heart up there. I loved that movie, but the original novel is necessary reading. Easily one of the best horror-themed novels Ive ever read. It'd have less of an effect after watching the movie, as I read it without knowing the twist, but if I could I send a copy to everyone here. One of my all-time favourites.

Michael Moore Hates America

You know, all political views and opinions aside (that's not why I watched it and not why I enjoyed it) this movie is good if for nothing else to show you what gets through as truth. I don't believe this wholeheartedly either because everybody has their own agendas but there were a lot of things on here that I liked. Penn said it right when he said as soon as the camera comes on you're lying (I also liked his "Shut the fuck up." comment lol). I don't think Michael Moore hates America, I simply think he caters to a certain potion of America that really want change and they want to believe what he says so they do without any further research. I think Moore is a smart, manipulative man and this movie showed some of that. Moore's an asshole and he's out for himself and money but then again, so are millions of other people. They simply didn't get to the camera first. I've watch Bowling, Roger, Farenheight, Farenhype... I love seeing both sides of everything and it's just so interesting how everybody has a point to counter their opponents even if they have to make them up. A very interesting watch but again I stress this movie, for me, was NOT about any political viewpoint and I suggest you only watch it because you like or dislike Michael Moore. Again, I really dug this movie and I think that Michael did a great job showing us a different side of Michael Moore. Is that the real side? I don't know, people can decide for themselves. I can't get over Penn though; "If you cut this footage so that I'm more negative about Michael Moore than I really am or I make points that I didn't make I'll hunt you down and fucking kill you.". Pardon my diatribe... you'll get over it.

Last night:

Saw 2
Seed Of Chucky (FINALLY)
Hide And Seek
Tale Of Two Sisters...With SUBTITLES...Grrrr...I swear it's like being deaf...If I turn my head for a second, I have to rewind:rolleyes: .....I know you guys don't see a problem with it, but for me it's VERY nerve-racking...Especially trying to feed a baby and watch the movie...You HAVE to look at the baby...

I mean honestly...Would you turn down the sound on an American movie and watch the whole thing with the closed captioning on?...That's exactly what it's like for me...frustrating...

Anyway...We also bought (but haven't yet watched, because Dustin fell asleep) :

Exorcist The Beginning
Devil's Rejects
Mail....I'm not really sure what this is but it's Japanese and the back of the case says: Based on Shigemizu Takasaki's comic book series, Mail is the latest cinematic adaptation from the Kadokawa Horror publishing label that brought us 'The Ring', 'Dark Water' and 'One Missed Call' (I don't know what THAT one is either). Told through 9 short episodes (which makes me think of Sin City, in a way), the film follows psychic detective Akiba and his 19 year-old female assistant, Mikoto (Kill Bill's Chiaki Kuriyama), as they root out and release the restless spirits that terrorize this world. Each episode is centered around an ascension of the spirits, taken from a chapter of the comic book....

And...It's subtitled...Ugh...

So...I am FINALLY starting to catch up on so many movies that I haven't had time to see yet...

Venom

I was entertained. But I have been told that I am easily entertained....:p Seriously, I think some parts were better than expected but the characters were annoying in that "I can't wait until this one gets eviscerated" kind of way.
