Battle Royale is a good choice, if you want a threatening atmosphere i would say something like Frailty, an excellent psychological thriller/horror by Bill Paxton

I really liked Frailty a lot, but I can't understand what people find scary about it.

Don't think it is scary at all but there is a degree of menace and the instability of bill's character does add a certain prescence to the film IMO

i'd suggest Day of the Dead followed by something light-hearted like Killer Klowns as D.O.T.D is sometimes a downer as you know there's no real happy ending when the world's doomed.

buy in lotsa snacks as zombie films always make me hungry:p

Considering your ages, Id assume your favourite movies are The Ring, The Grudge and The remakes of Amityville and TCM. You'll also refuse to watch anything Black and White. If not, I apologize....but face it, thats where the majority falls.

As I am in that basic age range myself, look at my signature for some ideas. I REALLY recomend The Fly and Creepshow[Not on list], very fun movies.

Incase you have signatures disabled, heres my list:

Sorry bout that. HERE's the list:

Top 10 Horror Movies:

1. Dracula [1931]
2.Pit and the Pendulum [1961] **
3. The Shining [1980]
4. The Abominable Dr. Phibes [1971] **
5. Theatre of Blood [1973] **
6. Last Man on Earth [1964]
7. House by the Cemetery [1981] **
8. Night of the Living Dead [1969]
9. The Amityville Horror [1979]
10. Silence of the Lambs [1991]

Honorable Mentions:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre [1974] **
The Blair Witch Project [1999]
Session 9 [2001] **
The Fly [1986] **
Dog Soldiers [2002] **

I put stars beside the ones I really think you'd enjoy. Some that arent on the list but are still great:

Creepshow

Dagon

House on Haunted Hill [Either version, '99 remake is more fun, IMO,
while the original is the better movie overall]

Jeepers Creepers [Chances are you've already seen it though]

My Little Eye [Kind of an Iffy choice, but it creeped me out a bit]

House of the Dead [;)]

Aside from the movies the others said about ( which i think are all good choices ) you should check out " Serpent and the Rainbow". great movie I think.
