That is VERY cool Skoof. Nice.

BTW, I'm not sure if you listen to him or not...but I'm in love with Sasha's "Involver" album lately...I know it's not too recent...but just something that's in my regular rotation.

I also love anything "Way out West" does...I think I just about wore out their "Intensify" cd...so good, in my opinion :) Not sure if you'd be into it though....again, it's not new or anything...but it's always been a fav. of mine.

I love Way out west. Very deep trance. Beautiful mellow shit.

I like uplifting trance more.

Check out the free set on my website.

If you like armin van buuren / paul van dyk style vocal trance, you might like the mix.

So you're self-promoting a thread self-promoting your music.

Yeah you're right, that IS shameless...:p

I'm with Newb, I don't get techno(trance) music. is it called trance because it takes so long to get to the music? Or because its so long? I'm not tryin' to be a dick, I'm just confused. There was like 5 minutes before anything really happened in your song.

Well dance music is made for mixing.
A dj at a nightclub ( a true dj) will have 2 or 3 songs playing at once for about 3 minutes before entering just one song.

so the long intro's and outros are created so a dj can toss the first 2-3 minutes of a song ontop of another song (hence the turntables and a mixer)..get it? and the outro is reserved for the same thing...

this makes the music go on and on..and the dancing keeps going. Real djing isnt just playing music...its like palying an instrument...its flowing a bunch of tracks all together seamlessly for hours apon hours without anyone noticing that the songs really changed..

I grew up on this stuff when i was traveling at a young age in europe. Its been around for over 2 decades, but just now the US is catching on. Its a subculture. A huge subculture.

Agreed...it's just about creating a mood, so that you totally lose yourself in the music...and become unaware that anything else exists kinda...if you continuously blend the music, it's easier to get lost in it...rather than being aware that the DJ is switching to a new track...that kinda kills it.

It just allows you to never get out of your "zone" for lack of a better term...cause in my opinion, it just sucks when you're at a club and you're totally enjoying the music or particular song that's playing...and all of a sudden a totally new genre is thrown into the mix etc...it takes you out of the moment.

Djing/EDM is on the decline. Just like everything else, it became a trend. Hence producing lots of crap and shitty artists who dont know the first thing of the culture. The mega clubs, the music, the vibe isnt the way it used to be.

kinda like horror.

once something becomes popular, alot of people want in. Once they want in, they dont care the way the original people did it. So they just speed things up ..talking like they know..picking up things here and there, but just copying. Like a xerox, the more copies..the lesser the quality.
