I don't have children, but I'd let them decide for themselves. Mostly because every kid developes differently. I started watching (and liking) horror movies when I was about 7, and my cousin still refuses to watch them (and she's 23).

Well, I "let" my kids (the ones in my nutsack, that is) start watching when I was about the age of 6-7.

My son is 4yrs old and he watches what I call kiddie horror. Things like Gremlins, House, Bride of Chucky and just general things like that. I don't think he's quite old enough for the good stuff yet.
