Alternate Universe historical horror

Greetings to all:
My interest in alternate universe films and books started with my love for the Stephen King horror novels such where alternate universe are the background of the plot. Being from Mississippi I wanted to
create an alternate universe type horror
film or book that revolved around the Mississippi Slave Lords; being the most feared creature during slave times for there astounding strength and method.
Well, I've created an entire website where
I could expound and develop the characters at this page.

http://www.angelfire.com/alt2/altern...se2/index.html

Well, now that I've done this I'd like to
make friends here and hear feedback
about the idea.

Enjoy the website and my writings and feel free if you are a writer to develop it into a script, novel or story.

Respectfully,
Samson Brooke IV

Alternate universe? So anotherwards you like alien horror?

Anyway, I love Stephen King too. The only "alternate universe" books I've read of his are The Tommyknockers and Dreamcatcher, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed, especially Dreamcatcher.

Have you read War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells? Very good book.

Nice to hear from you

Yes, sir, I've most certainly read the
War of the Worlds and I look forward
to the new movie that shall be coming soon.

The Gunslinger by Stephen King has
alternate universe overtones which
I also found excellent. I recommend to everyone.

Let me know of any other alternate
universe horror read or seen film of;
as it is my special interest.

Respectfully,

I thought they were just lazy assholes that didn't want to do their own work, there was nothing astounding about them besides their severe amount of cruelty. And as for the method, all they did was chain people up and beat 'em what's so astounding about that?

An amusing answer, sir...

"I thought they were just lazy assholes that didn't want to do their own work, there was nothing astounding about them besides their severe amount of cruelty. And as for the method, all they did was chain people up and beat 'em what's so astounding about that?"

Dear Sir:
Here is more for you to read in hopes my essay would sway your attention in my favour:
http://www.angelfire.com/alt2/altern...e2/ecolog.html

Well, your remark is a preconceived
conception without reading the horror
story. By not reading the link; and what
I was trying to impart in the plot and
characters you missed the point completely. The point was to offer an
interesting story from the unique legends of the Mississippi Slave Lords.
The character I've built in the story isn't
lazy at all; but a cross between two slave trader families giving him qualities that are of interest to the reader.

Remember, firstly that if you do not read what I have written about it; your remarks are without substance.

Second, if you decide not to read it;
and adhere to such breaches of logic;
by not seeing for yourself I must respectfully wonder how you can consider yourself civilized among those who desire to engage with me feedback and exchange that might improve various sections of the plot.

Now, either look over the links I've given you and find purity in the signature of
your self esteem as a Gentleman or
permit those who are interested to partake of the fine fruit of my unique insight, sir.

I dare say, sir, I must question your status as a Gentlemen by using such foul and uncivilized words as a reply to my sincere efforts.

Respectfully,
Samson Brooke IV

I read up to about the third paragraph and stopped because it's moronic.

The character that you have created is not only a lazy asshole but is a nieve, arrogant, lazy asshole. He's a slave lord, nothing you can say is going to make me think any other way about a slave lord beside that they were assholes.

"No doubt, if I was black and the gift of my slave lord genetic inheritance existed; I would enslave weak whites who waste away their lives as social retards and are dangerous for the ecology of a civilization geared toward the evolutionary wave; as I do as a white."

that's sound like something Hitler would've said, the asshole that you created isn't any different from any other slave lord was in the sense that they were all trash. They didn't want to do the work nor did they want to have to pay anybody the proper amount to so they got slaves to it for them. With that being said I'm going back to my original statement that they were nothing but lazy, cruel assholes.

If you think I'm not a gentleman for saying a slave lord is an asshole then I really could careless, you don't actually think I care about the opinion of myself a person who's trying to make a slave master...oh excuse me lord look like anything more than what they were and should always be known as....lazy assholes.

I'm not a gentleman at all. I'm a graceful "lady with disgrace."

I think that slave owners of the old South should be looked down upon with shame. It also makes me sick to think that anyone could look on them as romantic heros or gentlemen. A true gentleman treats his fellow humans beings with dignity and respect.

The South has terrible criminal behaviour under it's belt. The atrocities committed went beyond anything that we had seen until the Nazi regime.

Now, I love the South, but I hate that it's history is steeped in the blood of African slaves. There's nothing romantic about that. There's nothing cool about that. It's a blight on our past not only as Southerners but as Americans as well.

Oh, and don't sign your name everytime you post. We know who you are.....unfortunately.

As another offended lady I have to say the plot seems to be in poor taste. The truth of the matter is that the general public would only be angry if this was ever published. There's something that could be done with the plot in general but it would need to be a lot darker and more about the horrors of the times than a humorous account of a "romanticized" slave driver.
