I've heard it being aimed at women lots of times.... but not usually to their face. Its a pretty crass word really people use it way to much.

I'd personally use "cunt" as pretty much the extreme...just comes across as about the most derogatory term you can throw at anyone, male or female.
Why isn't calling someone a dick or cock quite as offensive to me? I don't know...strange that. However, as I said...if say...a person assaulted completely fucked someone over, or if say, soemone that was supposed to be a friend turned into a traitor...yeah, that's about cunt-worthy. I usually never say the word myself, and would stop at "fuck" when it comes to exasperation.
