Opinions?

I have a few movies liined up for renting this summer. Ill more than likely rent them either way, but I just wanted some Spoiler-free opinions of them, if it's not a bother.

Memento
Fight Club
2001: A Space Odysey
Dr Strangelove
Dead Birds
Fate [2003]
An Urban Ghost Story
Eraserhead

Thanks in advance!

Bottle Rocket
Time After Time
Silent Running
Being There
Local Hero
Gregory's Girl
The Pope of Greenwitch Village (this one has some language)
The Party

if you dont think that each one of these is an amazing movie i'll probably hunt you down ang give you a wedgie that'll change your eye colour.

Any chance I could get a year of release on those? IMDb has multiple listings on a few of them [Although I can probably guess on most of them *cough*The party*cough]

Anyway, Ill definatly try to check those out. I love to expand my movie watching tastes, although I havnt had much chance to do so...

I see you have some Kubricks lined up...

Although I LOVE Peter Sellers (Both Being There and The Party that Urge suggested are great), I really didn't understand why everyone loves Dr. Strangelove. Really a kind of boring movie, for me.

On the other hand, 2001: A space Oddysey. Amazing film, the most bizzarre film you'll ever see. Really weird, really enjoyable.

Memento~Loved it. I thought the direction was outstanding and the story was compelling. Oh and Pearce nailed the role. He was on his game even more than in L.A Confidential, I thought.

Fight Club~One of my favorite films with one of my favorite actors (Norton). I thought it was wonderfully brutal, dark, funny and brilliant.

2001: A Space Odyssey: A must-see and that is all that has to be said about that one.

Dr. Strangelove: Hilarious, in my opinion, one of funniest movies ever made. I would suggest that you watch Fail Safe (if you haven't already seen it) as well and compare the two. You might have a better appreciation of it.

Eraserhead: Must be seen to be believed...LOL....not sure I liked it, but it is definitely an experience. :D

The others I haven't seen or don't care to comment on. ;)

Memento: I was a bit disappointed, but it is overall a decent movie. Guy pierce and Joe Pantaliano are great, and Carrie anne moss makes you want to kick her in the head

Fight Club: I love this movie, great twist. Great performances. one o fBrad Pitt's best, anbd if you dont already love edward norton, you will.

2001: A Space Odysey: it's been a while, but what everyone else said

Dr Strangelove: Been even longer. It's worth it to at least understand all of the bomb-riding references in every movie since

Dead Birds: No idea, never heard of it.

Fate [2003]: Ditto

An Urban Ghost Story: Ditto

Eraserhead: Ditto. Ask Jay o2 waster, he seems to be a fan.

eraserhead is a must see.

vod - dont see it - it's 100% style, zero substance - but very memorable.

there are more visual images that stick in your mind from this one than any other film i can think of..
