Ive heard this movie is loosely based on Nine Inch Nails' "The Downward Spiral." Is there any truth to that i mean christian bale's charecter's name is Trevor Reznick, or so i've read.

i read that in order to lose all the weight he did for the role, bale ate and drank nothing but an apple and water everyday for i don't know how long... now there's dedication !
