Hmm...very interesting...

Bauhaus and Voltaire are okay...But I like Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains, Pantera, and Manson (not ALL Manson though) better...

As for architecture...I DO like the look of the old stone churches and cemeteries, as well as castles...And the Gargoyles kick major ass...As a matter of fact, Stephen King's house is moderately affixed with gargoyles, as well as big, black wrought iron cemetery gates, with huge bats on the front...Does this mean that Stephen King is 'goth'?...Funny, he wasn't mentioned in your 'gothic horror' list...I always saw him as sort of a geek...

I love Edgar Allan Poe, but Anne Rice is far to 'harlequin' for me...

Hmm...'Gothic' movies?...

The Crow...Not TOO bad
The Matrix Trilogy...Kinda boring...Action/Sci-Fi...NOT horror
Tim Burton...ROCKS!!!
Edward Scissorhands...Pretty Good
Nightmare Before Christmas...I LOVE it!!!...Especially the music...
Beetlejuice...Another one that I LOVE
Sleepy Hollow...Meh...Too much 'romance'

Typical goth dress...

consists of black clothing accessorized with silver and/or pewter....Hmm...Is a priest "Goth"?....I wear black because it's my favorite color, and I HATE bright colors...I have always worn silver crosses, and have always prefered silver jewelry over gold...Do the crosses make me Christian or Goth?...Does the silver make me Goth or Native American?...lol

I am NEVER considered 'mopey' or 'romantic' *gag*

Can (and frequently does) include elaborate gowns...I've worn a dress twice in the last 15 years...and the last one was a mini-skirt...NOT a gown...

and corsets, veils, teased hair...OMG!!!...No fucking WAY!!!

lots of eyeliner, fishnets...All the time ;)

Also popular are tight-fitting trousers, flouncy shirts in the manner of Lord Byron...Ahh...HELL NO!!!

anything with buckles on it...Just my boots and my black straitjacket :D

Lots of dark makeup?...I only wear mascara, eyeliner and lipstick...and I only wear the lipstick if I'm going out...

Almost EVERYONE dyes their hair...Especially old women...Are THEY 'goth'?.....Hmmm...I just dyed MY hair (well, actually Sergio did it) for the very first time, 5 months ago...

However, the core of gothic fashion is that whatever you like is fine, as the gothic culture per opposition to "fun society" is against the rules of how one has to to look.... the color range ranges from complete white to pitch black. Between those two extremes, anything goes, be it modern, classic, conservative or ragged.Umm...That last part...That's the way EVERYONE decides how to dress...Is it not?...It pretty much says, "Wear whatever you like"....So...I guess I gotta agree with that...

It looks like I'm more of just a hardcore horror fan, than anything considered to be 'Goth'.......*sigh*...I suppose I never will fully understand that term...

corsets are the shit though... :D

matrix trilogy sucked
The Crow is the best movie ever.
Tim Burton ROCKS!!! /stolen
Edward Scissorhands...Pretty Good
NBC is a movie I abolutely love
Beetlejuice...Good
Sleepy Hollow is awesome too

I don't like most gothic bands though, a "goth" is a person who listens mostly to "gothic" music.

and Stephen King is a nerd.

Hmm...That's interesting, too...I'm into industrial metal, mostly underground shit...I don't think that's considered 'gothic' music......And yet, Urge's second post said that " It is allied to Goth music, but not all those who dress in this fashion listen to Goth music."...According to THAT, Some 'goths' don't listen to 'gothic' music AT ALL....

I'm beginning to wonder how some people can label other people as 'Goth'...When it doesn't seem that anyone REALLY knows what the term means......

According to what I've seen...'Goth' could mean pretty much ANYTHING that isn't Tommy Hilfiger, Penny Loafers, Mini Vans, and Brittany Spears......Hmmm...

labels are a joke. People shouldn't be categorized by clothing. If I was supreme ruller of this world, we would be seperated brave new world style and selective breeding would be the only way to make a baby.

genetics will save us
