well, the actual classification of emo as a genre is post hardcore, most stuff that's called emo these days is power-pop or acoustic indie rock.

Thank you! My tastes in music are pretty expansive. I try not to shut stuff out because it's mainstream because i was really obnoxious about it when I was 15. Everyone was a poseur in my book. I wish i could slap myself!
