Trying to find a book, not sure if anyone can help me.

Hi all,


I'm trying to find a short story horror novel I once read as a teenager. My problem is that I can not remember the name of it, or the author. I do know what a few of the stories are about, and I remember the cover(the paperback version anyway.) If anyone can help me with this I would soooo appreciate it.


The cover was black I believe and had a rose on it, (maybe dripping with blood?)

I know there was one story in there that involved a few teenage boys who were growing marijuana out in the woods, and some monster came and attacked them. (sounds cheesy I know, but it's just one of those things.)

There was also a story where a college? age kid took LSD had had a very bad trip, (cutting the dog up with an axe, smashing the tv...)

Unfortunely that is all I remember. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Hmm ... doesn't sound like something I would read. Sounds a lot like "Reefer Madness" in terms of theme! LoL!

Not saying I have a fondness for drugs, those are just the only stories I remember. And adding to that,, I'm not even saying I like reading about drugs, it just happened to be a book I read in High School- and I would like to read again just to quench my curiousity about why it stuck with me so long.

Holy shit, aren't you defensive! I'm not passing judgement. All I meant was that the book sounded like a collection of stories that were meant to moralize about the dangers of drugs. It was not a comment about you at all.

Sorry, I tend to be a little edgy. And yes, I think you are right about the whole " don't do drugs" theme. :}
