I have been trying to remember the name of a film for many years. (I am also new here, sorry if this is the wrong section for this post.)
I remember a decent amount of the film in my head, except who the actors are (or if they did anything else) . Searching for it in search engines is relatively futile. It was about a man that moved to a city to be a writer and got a job in a video rental store. He got the job because he was talking to a woman that worked in the store and she got him hired there. He borrowed a VCR and hooked it up and started having delusions. He also started writing from it and I believe he started killing people (or someone else was killing, that’s where my memory gets hazy). I believe he ended up killing the owner of the video rental store. It was an 80s B-movie, if I recall correctly. Does anyone remember this? |

Much more esoteric than ghoulies. Probably a lower budget as well. It had more of a Videodrone vibe but a Video Dead kind of quality (if I remember correctly. It’s been a long time.)

The film was Night Vision. It’s now available to stream, I think on Tubi. (It’s not very good, honestly. But I enjoyed it for what it is.) I thought I’d follow up and thank everyone for the help.
