I say go for it. Those are only estimates. I usually get stuff way before the date. Plus, most places offer speedy delivery for a higher price. You can even make some calls. Worse comes to worst, you can print a nice picture of the gift and wrap that up in a box that would be the same size as the gift.

He's not wrong...I always seem to get my stuff sooner than later. But it is Christmas so the picture thing could also work.
