ive never seen the remake (actually i didn't even know it existed) but i love the original. i grew up near where it was shot and i hung out there a lot as a teenager (they have concerts and stuff out there now) but aside from my love of the location it is a strange and really cool movie.

This is a really good horror classic. I never saw the remake but this movie is one of my favorites and it helped inspire a lot of other horror classics like Night of the Living Dead and The Shining.
