I think I found it.

Your- is the possessive form of the pronoun you. (As in, "You are an asshole" or "You would be better off swimming in battery acid.")

"You are an asshole." would actually be the contracted "You're" and not the possessive pronoun form of you. You could use "Your" if you were talking about "Your" asshole though.
