Grammar Lessons with Haunted
Okay, this is just so people will know, and it should help you with your little posts and whatever. Okay!
First lesson is "your" and "you're." It's a really common mistake. Your- is the possessive form of the pronoun you. (As in, "You are an asshole" or "You would be better off swimming in battery acid.") Here are some sentences with "your." Your boyfriend is ugly. Your mama is fat. Your idea sucks. You're- is the contraction for "you are." Here are some sentences for "you're" You're an idiot. You're wrong, dumbass. You're the dummy. Okay, another common mistake: there vs. their There is an adverb describing location: The gravity bong is over there. There's my fucking cigarettes! -There also describes something that is. There are psychopaths living in that delipidated house. There is a monster under your bed, kid. There are many idiots in the room. Okay now "their." "Their" is the possessive form of "they" Their car was stolen last night. Their musical choice is shit. Their annoying personality causes Evisceration to become violent. Okay. That's all for now. I hope this lesson has been fun and educational. Love and kisses. |
Strong Bad: If you want to be possessive it's just I-T-S, but if it's supposed to be a contraction then it's I-T-Apostraphe-S...scalawag

I made the dumbest mistake with this post. I'm too humiliated to tell you all what it is. Sorry.

Actually, I made a post to tell Sam that I'd made the mistake he was talking about. Only I hadn't so I had to take up space. Sometimes, I amaze myself. :p |
Just thought this thread needed a bump. A few folks on here REALLY need it. They know who they are.;)
Sincerely, Somebody who is tired of wading through all of the garble. |
