Oh, it is - particularly upsetting to hardcore fans of the original.

I was like are fucking kidding all 3 of those movies where much better. Than Land. Not to say that Land was bad of course.. It just wasnt up to par with the other three mentioned.
huh, I hated 28 days later.

Me too...I don't see anything that would actually scare anybody, might gross some people out a bit but it's not scary at all, doesn't seem to try to either.

TCM3 got things back on track, with some nice, nasty moments (reshaped in various cut and re-edited versions - there is a Director's Workprint doing the rounds as a bootleg).

No doubt about TCM2 is very very funny in parts.. The hammer scene is BRUTAL. And at the end when Stretch is waving the chainsaw around like Leather Face is creepy also. I think the macabre of the movie is what gets me. This is why I enjoyed House of 1000 so much too. Both of these movies for me are as close as anyone has gotten to a showing one of my nightmares on film. There both a little unrealistic, funny, freaky and at the same time spooky.

I guess what I am saying is please fans of horror be open minded and enjoy the media we are given re-done or not. There is some great stuff out there.
anyone that can determine if a movie is shit or not having not even viewed it loses creditability.if i think a movie may be shit i simply wait for the dvd(or steal the bootleg off the internet)and watch it then.

some of the remakes brought alot to the table.i loved the dawn remake,i loved shaun of the dead......hated 28 days, but 2 outta 3 ain't bad!

not to mention that a remake "can" be a homage to the original done by a fan(s) themselves.not just by whoring scumbag hollywood exces that wanna remake films for sake of making money and could give a fuck-all to the original material.
