Are you a purest..?
I am soooo tired of the Art Fags out there that totally refuse to watch the new remakes of great horror films. I have a buddy who is a "purest" and is constantly telling me how he will never see this remake or that remake then the next time I talk to him he miraculously saw the movie on accident and he just completely bashes it. Ex. the new Dawn of the Dead. This is the same guy who had the nerve to say that Land of the Dead was a far superior movie to the new Dawn, Shaun and 28 days! I was like are fucking kidding all 3 of those movies where much better. Than Land. Not to say that Land was bad of course.. It just wasnt up to par with the other three mentioned.
I guess what I am saying is please fans of horror be open minded and enjoy the media we are given re-done or not. There is some great stuff out there. |
I always say, "What's the big deal?"...It isn't like the remake is out to REPLACE the original...So what if the originals are usually better?...The remakes are still better than a lot of OTHER movies out there.....I'm more than happy to have 2 movies instead of one (or in some cases 3 or more ;) *Invasion Of The Body Snatchers* )...Especially when the remakes are based on movies that I already love...That's just more for me :)

After reading your post and many other post in this forum I realized that I did not join "horror".com forum rather I joined "letsseehowpettyfacetioussarcasticrudeandohletsnot forgetjusthowincrediblyarogantandsmartweare".com. I guess I am just a "newb" and I should be prepared for the squatters and dregs of the forum to spew there "sarcasm" aka low self esteem upon me. Good work stud..! Oh not to mention this will probably send shockwaves through Cheeba and all his minions and I will be bombarded with heavy lashings. God who knows they might ignore me..Maybe I just missed the point completely and this is a friendly hazing so I can be a bitter blogger too.. Damn what a quandry should I post this..? Should I say nothing..? Have I already given him what he wants by spending the time to post this? I cannot win... Damn Cheeba you are good.
