I want to pick on Des for a second here (and split some hairs)...
I consider "The Thing" to be just a second adaptation of
Who Goes There?, and all Frankenstein movies are various adaptations of Mary Shelly's
Frankenstein. As for various
Wolf Man movies, however, THOSE I would consider
remakes.
Thoughts?

My Bloody Valenting 3D was not only a ridiculously fantastic remake, but an homage that completely venerated the genre... And the most fun I've probably had at the movies. Ever. Now THAT'S how you do a remake!
