If horror is religion...

... then who would be God?

right now I feel that it might be Clive Barker...

I'm not really sure, but I think i'd pick Alfred Hitchcock since he pretty much invented the slasher with Psycho.

bloodrayne 04-20-2004 10:08 AM

George Romero

ooooo, good girl. :) Who would Tobey Hooper be? Jesus?

However, If we are talking about horror literature, rather than movies, I would have to go with Lovecraft as God. August Derleth and Stephen King could fight over the mEssiah position.

Steve_Hutchison 04-20-2004 10:10 AM

Edgar Allen Poe, maybe?

GorePhobia 04-20-2004 02:46 PM

yes IMO George Romero is God

Tobe Hooper is Jesus

and Clive Barker, Wes Craven, Tom Savini, Sam Raimi, and John Carpenter are his discipals

evil_blonde 04-20-2004 03:55 PM

stephen king is too much of a writer to be the god of horror...cause his books maybe be freaky but most of the flicks sucked
