In 1990, Spin Magazine put together this surprisingly impressive list of the 35 greatest moments of rock 'n' roll television, back when these things happened. There are links to most of them on YouTube.

Oh come on- not even a mention of the All You Need Is Love live broadcast by the Beatles and a host of luminaries?

one I remember vividly was Nirvana on one of the MTV awards when they smashed everything and Kurt was chanting "Where's Axl?, Hi Axl..."

Yeah, I'm sure it'd be pretty easy to come up with another 35.

Still there's a couple of classics on that list. The Seeds and 13th Floor Elevators clips are EPIC.

Yeah, the Howlin' Wolf clip is great, too. He's a total maniac !
