I don't know if I'd call them "punk", but the Yeah, Yeah, Yeah's have a pretty cool sound. Then there is Lacuna Coil and Otep.

X is a punk band with a girl and a guy singing. I only heard them once. So I don't know.

Nausea is good punk rock and most Blatz songs are pretty annoying. I like Hustler by them though

All those songs were written by Kurt Cobain. Courtney wrote the lyric's. You should listen to how differenet the First Hole album sounded. She wants to be Nancy

Pretty on the inside is Holes First Album before she met Kurt. I think. Thats the album where she wrote all the songs herself.
Thats why its so bad, She hasn't wrote any songs by herself since. Kurt wrote all the songs on "Live through this" and thats why they sound just like Nirvana songs.

Well, why is "Live through this" the only album that sounds just like a Nirvana record? And why does Courtney always need someone else to "write" her songs with? Have you even heard Holes first album...

Do you know who Nancy is? and how much Courtney tries to be like her.

#1 She wrote the entire "Live through this" album, Kurt had nothing to do with it.

#2 Live through this has better lyrics than any nirvana albums imo

#3 I think the reason Hole's first album was not as good because it just wasn't that great and they hadn't developped as a band really.

This whole bias against her that a lot of Nirvana fans have bugs me. I love Nirvana too but I don't believe in any of these stupid conspiracy theories that don't make sense.

I know song struture. I understand song patterns. Maybe Kurt didn't write "live through this". its that or Courtney blatantly ripped him off. I never said Kurt wrote the lyric's. She wrote the lyrics. How do I know this? because of patterns and song formula's. Everyone has a different style. and those guitar riffs are Kurt's.

She wrote the two recent albums with different people.. Why? because she can't write alone. She only writes lyrics. Proof? her first album. Even Nirvana's first album had great struture and style.

and please never say "live through this" has better lyrics than any nirvana albums . it sounds ignorant (no I'm not calling you ignorant). Just because a album can apply more too your own life. Like Courtney's lyrics apply to herself. Its shallow.
Kurt's lyric's are more a statement of society on how we treat each other and ourselves.

Listen to any Sonic Youth record.

The first Hole album is fucking great (the best IMO) and was produced by Kim Gordon. My Body the Hand Grenade is a decent compilation of early/unreleased/live and b-sides. I didn't get into any of the stuff after Live Through This.
