They were working on two storylines...first on the past and origins of the Creeper...second was set 21 years into the future after the events of JC II, but it stands "on-hold" for now.

Thank you V

Corey Haim won’t be back as Sam Emerson.

He was supposed to make an appearance in the film – he had a pivotal part apparently, so it’s going to be interesting to see they work around it – but at the 11th hour had to pull out. Now I don’t know what has happened here, but from the sounds of it, Haim himself pulled out of the part. If that’s true, he’s gotta be just a tad nuts, right?

The guy may be about as bankable as a burnt cheque, but he’s still part of “The Lost Boys” legacy and it would’ve been nice to have seen him return to where it all started.

So how does Corey Feldman – who promised Haim he wouldn’t do the sequel without him – feel about doing the movie without his old buddy?

From Corey Feldman's blog earlier :-

"I feel that I need to address some of the statements that have been made in reference to Corey Haim’s and my friendship and his participation in ‘Lost Boys 2 - The Tribe.’ I have always considered Corey Haim a brother and dear friend and have always been there for him. Although I am deeply saddened that he has decided not to participate in ‘Lost Boys 2,’ it was strictly his decision. For the record, I was not willing to go forward with any production or deal until I was assured that Corey Haim was onboard. I received confirmation from my representation that Haim had announced that he was officially attached to ‘Lost Boys 2.’

After starting production in Vancouver, I learned that Haim had chosen to pull out of the project. The reasons for his decisions are his and his alone. Although I am saddened by Haim’s departure, I am enjoying working on the film and am very excited about working with my Frog Brother Jamison Newlander and to carry the torch forward. I am very proud to be part of this highly anticipated sequel for Warner Bros. and feel confident that we are making a film that the fans will welcome as a complimentary addition to the franchise.
"

“Lost Boys 2 : The Tribe”, directed by P.J Pesce (“From Dusk Till Dawn 3”) and penned by Hans Rodionoff (penner of “The Skulls II”), will also star Tad Hilgenbrink, Autumn Reeser, Angus Sutherland, Tom Savini, Monica Delain, Kyle Cassie (“Devour”), Shaun Sipos (“The Grudge 2”) and Merwin Mondesir.

I happened to be watching The Two Corey's the other day and it showed them both going to the 20th Anniversary screening and people were asking if they were going to have sequel and Haim was saying he hoped so but then when they got home Feldman broke the news to Haim that they were infact making a sequel and he didn't have a role in it and Haim started crying.

This doesn't make sense...Did Haim take himself out...Or was he forced out?

Honestly, I don't think anyone knows what the hell is going on there, including Haim himself.........;) There have been several reports that he pulled out the project for his own reasons, and also some in the beginning that he was having work visa issues, and that's why he wouldn't be in the film. Now there's this "feud" between the two Coreys.....*GASP* :D

if Haim can't get a visa then he should always pull out from now on!

I don't think there is a feud between the two coreys. I think Haim was not even asked to be apart of this film, although I do recall something about a work visa but who knows. I basically got from the show that Haim didn't know anything about it and wasn't even asked, and Feldman had to break the bad news to him.

He's been attached to the project. The "feud" is because Feldman said he would not be in the movie without Haim....and well, Haim apparently isn't going to be in it, for whatever reason, and Feldman still is. According to Feldman's blog, Haim himself decided not to be a part of the film. See, DRAMA....hahahaha.....:p
