Where you are now Audition is the starting point, you should broaden your horizons,I started watching horror in the early eighties, and while i enjoyed many movies made in that period i found many more that I liked from earlier generations.

Man, When you critisize my movie tastes, I accept it and respect your opinion. Now I'm critisizing yours and you act so offended.

Also, Why are you guys so mad that I don't like movies before the year 2000? I can barely understand why you guys are annoyed with it, but it's ridiculous the amount of insults I'm getting.

To: Joshaube: I've seen House of the Dead 2, And it was terrible.
You told me to watch Saw 2 and 3, and I did. They are both terrible compared to Saw 1. (Saw 2 isn't so bad though).

I also saw Jeepers Creepers awhile ago and I forgot to mention it. But I thought it was pretty good. Not something to jump around for though.

-----------

Also, I'm not refusing to watch the Old movies (I should have worded it more properly), But I simply don't enjoy watching them.

-----------

I've also seen Scream 3 and thought it was ridiculous. I was also watching some Jason Friday the 13th movies, and thought they were again, ridiculous.

-----------

Anyhow, I was looking for a forum that I could talk with about movies, rather than blaming me for not watching their favourite movies. I found absolutely 0 nice people here. I'm out.

EDIT: Actually the DP McCoy guy doesn't seem so bad.

I won't flame you but movies are an art form... would you not read a book or look at paintings that were created before you were born? You'll find many of the things you liked or loved in recent horror has been used in past movies and in better ways.

True say Despare. But there are still many significant differences. Thanks for your opinion.

I'm thinking of watching Jason and Halloween. Although I WOULD give the other older movies a chance, its just that they don't seem like I would like them.

Mind suggesting a few older movies that I would like? I don't really like twisted old countryish movies. I don't really know if you'll understand what I mean.

Lol, and that picture is wierd. =O (Not meant to be an insult) =]

Good. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. And I'm probably about to make some enemies with this post BUT it needs to be said:

OMFG!!!

The arrogance is here is amazing!!! Someone with a different opinion than you and your clique and all of a sudden he or she is not worthy?

Ridiculous. I've only been here for a short while and I picked up pretty quickly how you guys treat new members. Get over yourselves, please. Get off that high horse, because what you say is NOT the definitive end to all arguments over Horror movies.

So what if a person doesn't like "older" movies. Bad production value can be distracting. That is why it is difficult for younger generation to watch these outdated movies. And there is NOTHING wrong with that. If you like older movies, then that is great. I like them also. BUT does that mean that someone should be chastised for not liking them? No, of coarse not.

Yeah, so I didn't like Hostel. I thought it was BORING. It was so hard for me to sit through that movie. The first half of the movie seemed like a bad softcore porno and I thought the torture scenes were overrated. What am I supposed to do now? Tell Auditioned that he has "poor taste"? I mean, that is his pick for #1.

No. I won't do that. I'm not stuck up enough to think my opinion is above his.

Try The Thing... or The Fly (the Cronenberg remake). Check out the HDC Top 100 in the General forum and maybe stick to domestic movies before 75' as far as your tastes go. Just because you don't THINK you'll like a movie doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a shot. There's always the power button.

What's the dead horse? Somebody asked for a suggestion and I gave it to them. Don't respond to any of my posts from now on until you can construct a proper sentence.
