I added Gojira to the list. With the rerelease this year, people finally get access to a serious, message based sick-to-your stomach horror film. It blurs the line between monster movie and disaster movie in wonderful ways, not to mention the fact that it's beautifully shot and incredibly haunting.

Posher778 that is the worst top ten list of horror I have ever seen. I'll give you The Thing, but good golly, the rest of those are Hollywood cheesers. Here are the first top ten that come to me in no order:

Texas Chainsaw Mass. (original)
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Nosferatu
Night of the Living Dead
Psycho (original)
The Exorcist
Rosemary's Baby
Zombie

Ok that's only 8, but there's also a bunch of great B's like Let's Scare Jessica to Death and Messiah of Evil which are better than that Hollywood crap.

No disresepct intended, I know you have the right to your opinions. Sometimes though expanding your horizons is a good thing...

Yea I wouldnt even say Donnie Darko is horror that again is just another movie trying to be complex. I did like the soundtrack though that was the best part.

I mean the original Japanese version. It has a half hour of completely different material than the American one and no Raymond Burr subplot. The American one cut a half hour out of the Japanese version and added the Raymond Burr footage. The half hour of material is really good stuff. It's been available since September and I highly recommend getting ahold of it. I discovered that for years, I hadn't actually seen one of my favorite movies, and America at large had the wrong impression of a real horror classic.
