Mushrooms and trains have always been pretty scary.

Honestly, I find children with missing teeth is creepy as hell. Like, when a little kid loses his front 2 baby teeth and he gives that big grin.... I keep imagining something like a snake tongue coming through the gap, just makes me shudder.

Biggest fear I have is of loss.

I hear ya. That's probably everyone's greatest fear... usually the one no one mentions.

I had a very vivid dream when I was 15 or so, that I burned alive inside a car. I have major issues with cars and I am terrified of fire. Yet somehow fascinated by it at the same time. Funny how that works.

Also on a far lesser scale: spiders, clowns and dentists (actually not sure if this one is on a lesser scale or not...lol).

Apparently people are more afraid of the dentist than death itself so you're definately not alone there.

If we're just talking about general things that scare us here, I'm absolutely terrified of centipedes. Those things are horrible.

As far as movies go, horror never really frightens me anymore. What I find more disturbing these days is the nihilist cinema of filmmakers such as Gaspar Noe and Michael Haneke (Irreversible, Funny Games, The Piano Teacher, etc.) It's just distressing witnessing all the truly terrible things people will do to one another.

And please, try to take no offence... I am afraid of Christians.

I grew up Southren Baptist. They terrifiy me now.
You shouldn't be afraid of my adopted faith-Lutheran.(although I haven't been to church in so long,I wonder if our membership expired-lol)
We don't preach,we don't shove God down your thoat and we don't care if you're an alien from outer space, basically Lutheran's help when needed and try to be good to the earth and all it's creatures without judgement.(I personally have nothing bad to say about what anyone believes in,except when it goes to the extreme and harms them or others)
Now,the amount of people that actually put this into practice.....well,humans are fallible.

So,I'll add that to the list of things that scare me....Hard-core fanatics of ANY religion.

I'm telling God on you... and you better believe that once I put my 2 cents in, he's gonna smote the shit outta you.

Jenna said something that made me think again, and I now realize my other "scary" category, although it's just a sick-to-my- stomach disturbed feeling, not a scared one.

I don't know how to exactly categorize this, but here's two examples:

- Texas Chasinsaw Massacre (1974)

- Last House on the Left

It's the 70's realistic-like movies where it's a group just absolutely torturing a group of innocents. L.H.O.T.L really disturbed me a lot.
