Weird.......hard word to define really. Its all in ones perception of the situation in question.

Some may find certain things strange or weird while others see the situation as completely normal.

I have seen way too many things to really consider anything weird. Maybe a little off I guess. Its like looking at a beautiful painting of the forest, with wildflowers in it animals doing their thing and right off in the corner of the painting is a photograph of a brake caliper for a 1966' Chevy Corvette, in the photo is a guy, who skin is purple and he has just taken a bite out of the brake caliper like it was a donut. On his head he is wearing a Green Bay Packers helmet and his shirt says Dont Fuck with Mr Zero.

Are you going to look at this and go thats weird? I wouldnt, I just made it up, I wasnt trying to be "out there" just whatever came into my head I wrote.

Some things I guess I should keep to myself. My lady asks me all the time what I am thinking about. I tell her she doesnt really want to know. SHe gets angry, so I tell her then she wishes that I hadnt.

Well what the FUCK did you ask for? I dont think (I said think) that my mind is any different than anyone elses, its just that I express my thoughts differently.

How many times have you thought of something really sick and disturbing, or something so strange or supernatural that when you speak of it people think your nuts??

I dont try to be this way, its just the way that I am, and I agree I hate those that try to be something that they are not. Of course noone wants to be ordinary they want to be unique. Guess what your not. YOur just like everybody else, no matter what you wear, or where you go or anything else.

Very few are truly unique and they are the ones that see the world as it truly is and they are the ones that are locked up in the nuthouse because it drove them to the point of sanity, the way I see it this life is really insane.

This was basically my point in making this thread....."Weird is just a matter of perception"....There is very little that my family and friends (people in our little circle) consider to be 'weird' :) ...BUT, most OTHER people (people who don't quite seem to 'get it'), happen to consider US to be 'weird'

Our abnormality is quite normal to us:)

i can buy that ...
but you have to admit that there are some people so far outside of your own frame of reference that try as you may .. you just cant see where they're coming from.

again i stress .. i didnt say it was bad or in need of change .. just weird

LMAO...That's what HE said...that he's 'legal'.....Damn girl, don't encourage me...I had a hell of a time turning him down as it was...He's 6'3, too...Doesn't really LOOK 19, does he?

urgeok 12-01-2004 08:56 AM

weird is relative..

its weird to you personally,

or its weird as determined by a majority.

bloodrayne .. as accepting as you or your friends are if a 98 year old man came to one of your clubs dressed like a cheerleader .. it would be weird. cool maybe ... accepted maybe ...funny definately but weird none the less because it is not the norm ..

weird is simply something out of the ordinary.

what 'ordinary' is just as hard to define but its subject to the same rules as weird ...by the individual and by general consent.

its fluid - it changes constantly ..its subject to interpretation

but its there..

I love you too sis, hey I just thought of something weird or maybe it isnt I dont know what do you guys think?

Remember a few years ago when John Denver got killed in a plane crash?

This really affected me, I mean to the point of deep dark depression, I couldnt tell you why, it just did. I am not a huge fan of his music or anything, I have a greatest hits CD, it kind of goes in my outlaw country that I love, but other than that I am the biggest metalhead that ever lived.

I listen to his music now and something inside me makes me have that hurt feeling inside like when your heart is broken almost to the point of tearing up. I listen to the Cd now every so often mostly to annoy coworkers but if I listen to it by myself, it gives me this strange feeling inside.

I often feel like him and I although we never met, we had some kind of connection (get your minds out of the gutter) I cant explain why that is but it is.

Must have been all those John Denver Xmas specials with the Muppets.:D

I dont think it has anything to do with my own mortality, I think about death all the time anyway so that really isnt it nice try though.

Sometime I think that I am already dead and I just dont know it yet, maybe I have been dead for thousands of years yet my spirit inhabits this body and when it is done with it travels to the next and so on. It explains alot to me, I know things that I shouldnt, and see things that I shouldnt, but that is another story.

Sometimes I think that when I am talking to someone on the phone how do I know that it is really them that I am talking to. How do I know I ma not talking to a ghost, or a monster, or some alien or something else. How do I know that it really all exists. Kind of like the Matrix.

How do I know that everyone I come in contact with isnt a government agent and reporting back to some higher authority about everything I do and say.

Maybe everything in this world is just set up for me like the Truman Show, and everyone is an actor and everything is synthetic.

I wont get on an airplane ever no matter where in the world I want to go ( and I am dying to go to Ireland to visit family) because I honestly think that once I leave the ground in the plane the world that was once there will cease to exist once over the cloud line. Its not a fear of flying either, I have been in Hueys, C130s, Sandpipers, and such. As long as I can see the ground I know that I am OK.
