Yeh I never knew why Argento bothered doing the "Phantom" story again especially since he nailed it with Opera. Easily one of his worst efforts... I really hate how cheaply filmed it all looks it just lacks the flair stylistically of his other flicks.
from memory, there was a poll of what classic story that fans wanted dario to do and phantom of the opera was top of the list.
then he made phantom of the opera.....coincidence?

Is that right? Not sure what I would've like to see him direct. I liked his take on Jenifer, I've got a Bernie Wrightson comic somewhere with that story in it.
