Watch Dawn of the Dead 04 with the commentary on. They basically chose to let the zombies run and be more agile because it had not been done before.


and 28 Days Later didnt have a single zombie in it, so it doesnt count. :p

Who the hell says there's "rules"?! If a zombie can hold a gun and fire it, I say let 'em have it, it'll make the movie more interesting. I can just picture a zombie movie some of your ways:

Zombie picks up gun off floor and slowly points it at human

Human: No you can't use that! It's just not FAIR! It's against the "rules".

Zombie puts down gun and allows human to pick it up and shoot a hole right the fuck through the back of it's head, while it moans and grunts like it's "supposed" to do

What i get a kick out of is how the title of this thread sounds more like a human rights discussuion than onbe about the possibilities of movie and book monsters.

someone obviously hasnt read the zombie survival guide.... and yeah, thats exaclty what my movie would be like... and here's what your movie would be like:

a ragged group of survivors gets trapped in a mall or office building, or an average suburban home, only to be blown the fuck away by a zombie made nuclear device... yeah, thats totally cool and you sure are right, it did add to the 20 minuites of film before the zombies destroyed the world with their massive armada of tanks, bombers, and submarines...

now i'm all for change, honest i am, but giving a zombie a gun, is like letting vampires walk outside in the daylight, when eating a garlic pizza and praying to a huge ass cross, i just dont think it should be done

yeah but still, call me old fashioned but zombies should stagger in an unstoppable group, it adds suspense, and makes it more scary

Zombies should get flare guns or harpoon guns... y'know, shitty guns that don't do a lot.

You know I don't really have an opinion on this subject. But the idea of a super fast zombie with a harpoon gun amuses me for some reason. :D

And since I am amused, I think they should all get harpoon guns....:p
