The only reason I ever really came by the movies was because I was looking in the Comedy part of the rental store. Don't take me wrong, I love the humor Ash puts into his films (mainly the hand and mirror thing in Evil Dead 2) but I just don't care much for seeing him in the next Freddy Vs. Jason.

Well since I'm new here I thought I'd add my two cents on this.

From what I've read, Raimi won't sell the rights unless it's a great script... But if he did sell the rights he wouldn't be working on the movie .. That would make it bomb.

What I read said that Ash would be brought in by a team of people trying to get rid of Jason and Freddy.. He would be the undead hunter for hire that came in to get rid of them.

I don't think he would get his ass kicked... I mean really he took on a whole army of undead before. :p It would have to be written really well and perhaps the character added to to make him stronger..

But .. Ash is a legend, he's got his followers, he doesn't need to be made popular and trendy.

The downfall to this, and it has already been said, suddenly there would be an influx of fucktards who are all "OMG ROXXER ASH IS THE LEET KICK ASS MOTHER FUCKER. OMGWTFBBQ! I really doubt he will be doing Evil Dead 4 anytime soon, shame but those films just did'nt make enough money for any studios to be pushing it and Rami is hot property again after the Spiderman movies ...

... I for one could not see what all the fuss was about with the FvJvA thing it could have been OK ...

i for one... don't think it's an issue of studios not wanting to take on evil dead 4.. because they've become popular as hell as of late... i really believe raimi just honestly wants to make a really good, quality movie... same goes for bruce campbell... i don't think they want to be caught up in some CG-fest

i believe we'll be hearing about the start of evil dead 4 within the next couple years

According to a new interview with Sam Rami, this story will probably never happen. Bruce Campbell said the same thing on his web site. So I don't think it's going to happen. How about... Vs Pinhead or Michael Myers or should it be left alone?

The rumour mill is churning and what is being spit out now is that Dimension studios & New Line are in talks to do a sequel together. There were no "titles" released but it is still an interesting rumour. My guess is that it's going to be a Freddy or Jason v. Michael Myers, with me leaning towards the latter. Again, this is strictly a rumour. As far as my thoughts are on a Freddy v. Jason v. Ash....(This would be bad for all parties involved), there is no story behind it, no substance, and probably wouldn't have a realistic or beleivable storyline. Technically, I think they should venture to do another Nightmare movie as well as a Friday movie then focus on one last sequel to F v. J. They have exhausted everything that has anything to do with these characters and need to place them to rest. These are just my opinons---

NO.....that is not what I am saying....I am merely saying that putting Ash in the mix would deplete the house that Jason & Freddy built. I am old enough to remember the fear these two "nice" gentlemen struck in me as a child and I can also remember the Evil Dead series coming out and me going to watch the first one and leaving after about 10 minutes in to it. It plain and simply sucked. But remember, fictional movies do carry a closeness to the truth. These are just my opinions.
