You know, i wasnt really thinking about seeing this. Maybe a download, but probably not. It looked pretty drab.
Then i heard Kate Bakensale was in it, hey well i really liked her in that Alice In Wonderland HBO special ive got taped, then i saw underworld:( :o ok well maybe that was bad directing. Maybe there is hope for her after all. Hey, maybe, just maybe, this movie wont suck, and it has her in it. Then i read she has a sword in this film, HEY THATS PRETTY COOL.Then i read this:
Q: Do you do sword work in this film?
BECKINSALE: Not much. I sort of carry it about and trip over it and pull it out of its thing, but I haven't had to do much with it.
Q: How heavy are those?
BECKINSALE: They have different weights. They have the 'Oh, are you feeling a bit tired today?' sword.
That combined with the CGI talk in this interview, combined with the cheesy look of the vampires/CG in the trailer. I think ill save my $10 for another movie:rolleyes:

What I want to say is that I really think this movie is the best one I've seen this season! Kate very good played the part of Anna. Oh, you know I live in Russia and when I've seen it in English even without subtitles.... Their way of talking is so funny! Well, I think this is not an easy thing to do - trying to speak English like you are from Transylvania, but check Dracula's "Oh, Gabriel!"! I laughed a lot.
I know that a lot of journalists think that "Van Helsing" is not a very good movie 'cause it's full of visual effects! But is it bad? I think it's great! My mom liked the scene where Dracula walks on the wall and then - ceiling! And all these fire balts!
And of course all actors and actresses are very cute... As for their playing - that's not my place to judge - but i liked it.
