Flayed knew he was in trouble. He had only 2 HPs left with him and the next fully loaded Magnum could finish him off. Such were the thoughts which raced through his braincells, which went through huge pain spasms from the 12 wounds he had so far.

Just then, someone's shadow fell across his face. Barely able to open his eyes, he moved his head in that direction.

"I am your savior angel, Flayed," a voice boomed in his ears, as he felt something being stuffed into his HP duffel bag. He tried to open his eyes to have a look at who it was.

"Shh, dont try to move. You are too weak. I have put in 7 of my HPs for you," the voice replied.

Flayed nodded weakly and sighed. The shadow looked around once, and disappeared. Flayed's mind began racing for the identity of the voice owner, and suddenly, realisation came flooding through his thought processes.

Damn, that guy PAUL THE MONK is a real team player, he thought.


CHRONOGRL looked around from where she stood. She was sure she heard shots and voices ahead of her but couldnt make out anyone. She decided to move further ahead and saw a thin trail of blood leading into some bushes. She followed it and came across Flayed, lying sprawled across some bushes. He was quiet and breathing heavily, his patched wounds healing themselves.

Chrono grinned to herself and coughed once. Flayed's head jerked forward in sheer alarm, and Chrono took her Magnum out. Flayed tried to move further away but couldnt even drag himself one inch forward, and merely turned around. Chrono fired blindly, without aim.

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

Three of the bullets tore through Flayed's thighs, two broke through his shoulder plates, while one caught his side. He let out a loud groan of severe pain, as he wrestled to get some HPs out. Somewhere deep inside his mind though, a part of him was silently thanking Paul.

Chrono let out a long whistle. It resounded across the Zone and FREAK heard it. He jerked his head to his right and ran across, realising instantly that it was a signal.

Sure enough, he was in Chrono's sight, who motioned to him to come over. Chrono pointed to where Flayed lay, looking like a blotted out red Christmas tree with blood oozing out everywhere from his white patched HPs. Freak walked over, his steps rustling over the dry leaves.

Flayed heard him, but made no motion of saving himself, other than lift a weak hand.

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

All of the bullets thudded in several parts of Flayed's chest and sides, and he coughed up a lot of blood. His last remaining 3 HPs could do little to patch these new wounds, and he was losing blood in torrents. He lay there wincing and groaning in pain, SEVERELY WOUNDED, a part of him praying to the Gods that the remaining Grindhouse member doesnt shoot even ONE bullet into him.

The Gods were listening...somewhere...

The Return moaned audibly. His wounds were patched but he felt weak. He had 1 HP left, and looked around for a good place to hide.

Someone jumped right in front of him, and Return let out a yell of surprise. He realised who the person was and sighed in relief a moment later.

ROSHIQ grinned back at him.

"I have to look out for myself too, but I can give you one of my HPs," Roshiq said with a smile.

"I ll take it," Return replied grimly.

Roshiq handed a HP to Return, and ran through the trees ahead.

Return knew he wasnt safe yet. A fully loaded Magnum still had every chance of scratching his name out from Battle Royale II.


GOREPHOBIA heard quick steps on his right and jumped across the path. He knew someone was ahead of him and he raced ahead, like a bloodhound hot on a scent of a hunt. Return heard steps and stood up, his mind racing. He chose the river and jumped across the bushes to get there. But Gore saw him, and fired blindly.

Return was thrown face first into the river. He tried desperately to patch himself with the 2 HPs he had, but it wasnt enough.

A loud splash sounded near him, and someone yanked him out of the water into the river bank. He was breathing in loud gasps, bleeding like a hosepipe, coughing up huge amounts of blood. The person took a long look at him and took out ONE HP, and patched one of Return's four fresh wounds.

Return survived, SEVERELY WOUNDED, and Paul the Monk thanked the stars he could reach him in time with his final remaining HP. His odd decision to save one HP for someone else really benefitted in saving not one, but TWO of his team members.

The doors to the Nightmares' and the Assassins' compounds are thrown open and men in suits walk into both of them. The ones in the centre walk over to two bunkers marked with names and place a transparent pack for something beside each.

They then walk out and close the doors behind them.

The Nightmare's bunker is named - Austin316426808, and the Assassin's bunker is named - Dude Guadalupe.

HDC BATTLE ROYALE II - THE FIFTH CHALLENGE


I welcome all 3 groups - Team Grindhouse, Killer's Nightmares and Ace Assassins - to BR II Challenge #5.

Since Team Grindhouse and Ace Assassins are running a member short, I have randomly chosen a Nightmare - AUSTIN316426808, who will be sitting out this Challenge.

He nodded back, and the soldier left.


Over inside the Assassins' compound, Dude faced the same situation, and a soldier walked in the same fashion and whispered something to him. Dude listened quietly and intently, and nodded back to him in agreement.

The soldier then walked out.

The Nightmare they call ShankS has been very sporadic since the past 3 Challenges.

He has not replied to my PM either.

I have a suitable replacement suggested to me by a Nightmare to take his place, and if ShankS does not reply back till the end of this Challenge (or send in his answers), he will be replaced.

SHOCKING NEWS!!!


Battle Royale II Spycam #49 has revealed some very disturbing footage.


***(BATTLE ROYALE II - SPYCAM #49 FOOTAGE - 0021 HRS TO 0054 HRS)***

The compound of the Assassins. Everyone is enjoying a sound night's sleep after the events of Hunting Season Outing #4.

Zoom in on a particular bunker. An Assassin is tossing and turning in aching, painful and restless sleep. His whole body is covered in plenty of HP patches which are healing his still-bleeding wounds.

Zoom out. A dark, shadowy figure enters the compound from the right and stops. It takes a good look around and quietly lays down on the floor. Slithering across the floor like a snake in motion, it moves noiselessly forward.

When the shadow gets near the bunker shown earlier, it stops and stands up, careful about not making any noise. It looks at the owner of the bunker intently, its large eyes full of wicked malice.

It bends forward, grabs the half-asleep Assassin from behind, and clamps a hand around his mouth. The eyes of the Assassin snap open, and before he could raise his hands, a large, glittering knife slices a neat line across his throat, digging deep.

The Assassin's eyes bulge out in a frantic deaththrob. He shakes and goes through convulsive spasms, shaking the bunker. The shadow doesnt let go of its hand across his mouth. The Assassin kicks the foot of the bunker loudly, and 1-2 other Assassins moan and stir in their sleeps. The shadow looks around quickly with alarm, then leans back...releasing the Assassin.

The Assassin tries to yell out, but all he manages is a disarticulated croak. The shadow slides into the corner and melts out of the picture in a flash. The Assassin grabs his throat and falls over onto the floor, with a loud thump. His neighbor Assassin wakes up, and jumps at the sight.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" he yells at the top of his lungs.

MissMacabre wakes up in fright, looking around. She spots the Assassin on the floor, his blood spraying everywhere as his body is wracked in the last throes of desperate clutches at the life inside. He convulses some more, and then goes still.

MissMacabre watches all of this, shell-shocked.

Dude Guadalupe walks over to the dead Assassin. He takes one look at him and grinds his teeth in hate-filled fury.

'YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS WITH YOUR LIFE, YOU BASTARD!!" he shouts at nobody in particular.


In the control room, a screen monitoring the life-support of a particular Assassin stops bleeping. The technician looks at the name shown at the top, and picks up a phone nearby.

"Sir, #8 reporting one death."

"Who is it?"

"The RETURN!"


ASSASSIN THE_RETURN IS DEAD!!!!!

Sorry Assassins. You have lost another team member. My deepest condolences and sympathies are with you.

SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT!!!


***(BATTLE ROYALE II - SPYCAM #23 FOOTAGE - 0846 HRS TO 0927 HRS)***

Bright sunlight floods the Nightmares' compound. Most of them are lazing around, except for Milktoaste who is getting treated by Posher.

Inside, Disease and Bwind stand guard in front of Neverending's bunker. Neverending is seemingly asleep, either tired from the aches of his numerous wounds which are healing slowly, or tired from doing something else.

Zoom out. THREE figures draped in white enter the compound from the left. They stealthily creep past a yawning Posher and a half-dreamy Milktoaste inside. Almost immediately, they crouch down and peer forward at Disease and Bwind. They then look at each other.

The one in the middle nods to the other two, and they nod back. Both of them move quietly on left and right respectively, out of sight of Disease and Bwind. Disease suppresses a yawn and dozes off, while Bwind is reading a book. The figure on the left creeps forward and circles behind Disease, while the other figure on the right does the same and gets behind Bwind. They both nod at each other and strike almost instantly.

THWACK!!

THUMP!!

Both Disease and Bwind never had a chance to know what hit them. With a slow moan, both of them slide to the floor, unconscious.

The third figure hurries forward, making no sound. All three figures stand around Neverending's bunker, and one of them walks over to where his legs lay. The other stands near his face, ready to clamp his mouth shut. The third figure slowly takes out something shiny from inside the robes.

All three look at each other again, poised for action. They simultaneously nod, and then spring into action.

The one standing near NE's face grabs his head and clamps his mouth shut with one hand, while the one standing near NE's legs grabs them tight, not letting NE move an inch. NE wakes up instantly and tries to yell, but only a muffled moan escapes through the fingers of the first figure's hand, which is around his mouth. He tries to fight them off but being already weak, is soon pinned down.

The third figure looks grimly at the struggling NE, and lifts a hand high. Something wicked and shining is revealed in the hand, which comes down in a huge rush.

SCRUNCH!!!

The dull blade of the knife plunges deep into NE's chest, and he lets out a cough. Just then, Rayne and Austin enter from the right and suddenly stop, frozen for an instant. The three figures throw an alarming look at them and dash towards the doors. Before Rayne and Austin could recover, the figures are already out. Posher jerks himself up but one of the figures hits him hard across his face and he falls down. Milktoaste never gets the chance to do anything - the figures have jumped over the wall and have disappeared from sight.

NE groans in pain, SLIGHTLY WOUNDED. Rayne and Austin look at each other. Rayne nods quietly to Austin, and both of them walk forward towards NE.

SHOCKING NEWS!!!


***(BATTLE ROYALE II SPYCAM #47 FOOTAGE - 1823 HRS TO 1907 HRS)***

The evening comes about as real gloomy in the Assassins' compound. Dude is consoling Paul, who cannot stop his tears. After all, he was the one who had pulled Return out of the jaws of certain death by his valiant act. MissMacabre sits in another corner, stunned. Fortunato is by her side.

Just then, the loud buzz signalling dinner resounds through the compound. Fortunato gets up and goes inside to call Despare and Roshiq, who are guarding Flayed.

"Uhh...dinner bell has rung."

"You know I cant move from here," Despare says. "Bring something back for me."

Roshiq looks at Flayed.

"Would you want something too?"

"No, thanks. I dont feel hungry," Flayed replies morosely with a deep sigh.

"Guys, I really dont think they would try this stunt again. I mean, they got Return. Thats their achievement for this Challenge," Fortunato surmises thoughtfully.

"We still cant take the risk," Despare replies."Take Roshiq with you. He hasnt eaten anything since yesterday."

"B...But Despare...?!" Roshiq starts to protest.

"Its ok," Despare replies. "I am pretty good at handling anything that moves. Flayed will be safe," he promises grimly, more to himself than to the other two.

Roshiq takes a good, long look at Despare, and turns to Flayed. Despite his body wracking in pain, Flayed manages a feeble grin and winks back.

"Don't worry, my Asian friend," he says in a low voice."Despare is damn good. Have your dinner, and hurry back."

Roshiq and Fortunato leave together. Flayed lifts a hand weakly towards Despare, who gently slaps his open palm with Flayed's. ^5s my friend, both of them think.

About 8 minutes pass.

Flayed has dozed off into another of those drug-induced slumbers. Despare is on the alert, looking around. Suddenly, something comes flying from the right and hits Despare squarely on the right side of his temple. Startled by the blow and the impact, Despare reels and turns around, feeling dizzy. Someone else creeps behind him as he is reeling, and whacks him from behind.

THWUMP!!

Despare crumbles to the floor, unconscious. All the shuffling of feet has woken up Flayed, who tries to get up but cant because of the severe pain which shoot through his body like lightning bolts. Two shadows, one from the left and one from behind Despare, move forward to Flayed's bunker. Flayed looks at both of them, terrified. One of them clamps a hand over his mouth, but Flayed wrestles free from the grip and spits.

"You call yourselves warriors, damn pussies?!" he roars, before the hand comes back to clamp his mouth shut.

The other shadow takes a knife out and plunges it deep into Flayed's chest, rotating it slowly and then stretching it across, piercing the heart and both lungs in one go. Blood rushes out in torrents, and Flayed hiccups once and coughs, clutching his chest desperately. Just then footfalls sound on the other side of the room, and both shadows make a hasty exit towards the right.

Another shadow enters from the left, holding a silenced pistol in one hand. Flayed has turned to one side, groaning. The death throes rock his body. The shadow doesnt see or know what has happened to Flayed just now, as his back is towards it. The shadow aims at Flayed's head from behind, and pulls the trigger.

THUD!!

The bullet pierces Flayed's head and flies out of the center of his nose. Flayed's eyes widen for a brief moment, as his hands drop from his chest. His mouth is open, as if ready to yell, as his eyes start slowly glazing over.

Despare moans audibly, and the shadow is startled. It turns around quickly, and disappears from sight. Despare gets up, rubbing the back of his head vigorously. Just then, he notices the blood on the floor.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! FLAYEDDDDDDDDDDD!!" he cries out.



ASSASSIN THE FLAYED ONE IS DEAD!!!!!

Sorry, Assassins. You have lost a very worthy team member. Deepest condolences and sympathies again.

"I leave you to do the arrangements. Whatever may be the outcome of the results of the Challenge, the Hunting Season MUST be followed according to Battle Royale II's Hunting rules...be mindful. This was the precise reason why I did NOT approve of the new rule for secret weapons in Battle Royale II. But you had to have the final say in that too."

"Sorry, my Lord. Have faith in me this time. I will see what I can do."

"Good. You better. Because if you don't..."

In the long run it is going to come down to one on one. It would make it a lot more easy than trying to navigate through this thread to each challenge that has passed.

I wont deny it.

Last year during Battle Royale, I took a week off from my job in April to keep it updated and to make the Challenges. Even then, half of the time I used to eat whatever was placed in front of my comp by the wife. I poured all my time, effort and energy into it. It cannot be described in words.

But I have come to realise some things in the past 7-8 months. I wont go into details but yeah...I have noticed, seen and heard enough to make a final decision.

Anyway...returning back to Battle Royale II.


Assassins, be mindful that Newb and Hammerfan wont be available to you after Season #5 of Hunting Season is over and done. Be sure to include them in your plans because they hold shotguns to fire too. If either of them fails to fire, you all stand to be shot SIX times by the snipers.

The Gates are opened to let the contestant teams back in. And in they troop slowly, tired, pale and haggard - 2 of them patched up all over their bodies.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE ZONE FOR OUTING #5


As soon as MISSMACABRE led the Assassins into The Zone, they gathered around her and discussed at length about something. Finally, agreeing on a particular decision, they all disperse in different directions in pairs.

MissMacabre and DESPARE move straight forward, keeping a keen eye out. Despare has all his heightened senses on the alert, and he suddenly stops and gestures to MissM to sit down.

For faint voices can be heard in the distance.

"Its pretty obvious they will be coming after me," one voice was saying.

"I dunno. They are pretty smart, so they might be doing some thinking about this," another replies back thoughtfully.

"Just in case, he needs to be well protected," a female voice says. "Watch over him."

Despare moves noiselessly forward, then signals to MissM to circle around on towards the left. MissM crouches and moves around the clearing, and stares at the figures in the clearing in front.

RAYNE, AUSTIN and NEVERENDING are sitting, crouched behind a rock. Austin is keeping watch, while Rayne is covering NE.

MissM takes aim, and fires.


BLAM!!!

BLAM!!!

BLAM!!!


The three shells jolt Austin, as they blast through his thighs and stomach. He crumples forward in pain, reaching for his HPs, and rolls into the ground. Rayne jumps up in surprised confusion, and NE is left an open target for fleeting seconds. MissM squeezes the trigger quickly.

BLAM!!!

BLAM!!!

BLAM!!!

The shells tear through NE's body and throw him backwards from the impact. He groans loudly as blood starts rushing out. Rayne takes one look at him and looks around again. She signals towards the trees but, apparently not receiving any signal back, puts her hand down in frustration.

"Don't worry, NE," she says to NE who has his HPs out to treat himself. "Austin is right here and he's got a ton of HPs. He ll be your backup till I return with the others."

NE nods weakly, and Rayne starts to run forward, stealing a glance back at Austin. I have to find either Bwind or Murderdoll, she thinks as she runs.


Despare looks on at the goings-on. He watches Rayne disappear into the distance and thinks, good. He looks back at NE and Austin, who are laying down on the ground, busy patching themselves with HPs. Despare lifts his shotgun, aims carefully, and fires rapidly.

BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!! BLAM!!

All six shells whistle through the air and blast through Austin's body at different parts - chest, stomach, sides, thighs. Fresh wounds open up everywhere and Austin starts bleeding profusely. He bleeds like a fresh torrent of rain in an African forest, blood gushing from everywhere.

"AUSTINNNNNNN!" NE wails from the distance in grimacing pain and helplessness.

Austin merely moans once, and turns over. The ground plugs his wounds for an instant, as he weakly reaches for the rest of his HPs.

NE looks around carefully, fighting the biting pain. He spots Despare and MissM giving the thumbs up to each other, and spots nobody else. Reassured that nobody else is about, he starts to crawl forward towards Austin slowly.

NEWB broke through the bushes and looked around. He was given explicit instructions and licked his lips in anticipation. There is nothing like a good kickass hunt with plenty of beer thrown in the equation, he thought. He took a long swig from the small bottle he carried with himself and moved forward.

He noticed some tracks going forward and followed them. The tracks disappeared near the trunk of a large tree and Newb stopped, all senses on the alert. He looked around keenly and spotted nothing.

Just then, he heard a branch creak above him.

He looked up instantly, and spotted his target. DOC FAUSTUS!!

Doc froze for an instant as he looked back at Newb. He tried to turn around, but Newb jumped upwards and did a flip in mid-air, landing on the branches just below Doc.

"Hiya, Doc. They call me Newb," he winked at Doc and started shooting.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

Both shells caught Doc off-guard, and thundered into his belly. Doc fell forward, and Newb jumped right over him, somersaulting and flipping forward, and aiming directly at Doc in mid-air.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

BLAM!! BLAM!!

All 4 shells thumped into Doc's body before it even hit the ground. Doc fell down heavily on a clump of bushes, letting out a huge groan as the blood poured out. Newb landed right beside him and looked down.

"What do you think of Newb law, Doc?," Newb asked with a wide, wicked grin.

Doc turned around and crawled into the bushes, taking his HPs out quietly.


Newb whirled around, and winked towards his left. HAMMERFAN came forward, and looked at him questioningly.

"He went through the bushes over there," Newb gestured carelessly forward, taking his small beer bottle out again for another swig.

Hammerfan nodded and moved forward, following a thin trail of blood. She followed the track to the river, and saw nobody. Just then, someone broke through the water on the other side of the river and collapsed on the bank, reaching for something behind him.

It was Doc Faustus.

"Think you can aim and shoot that far, lady? Or do you need glasses?," Newb laughed as he followed Hammerfan's gaze.

"Watch," Hammerfan replied with a smile, and lifted up her shotgun to aim.

Doc had patched himself up, and laid back on the sandy bank to ease his heavy breathing.

Hammerfan aimed, and fired twice.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

Both shells sped through the air and thudded into Doc's left side. He groaned and turned around, exposing his back.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

Hammerfan fired twice again. Both shells entering Doc's back in a flash and opening huge red gaps which rapidly started vomiting fresh blood.

Doc tried to stand up, but failed. He crawled forward once, lifting his body upwards. But in doing so, he exposed his chest.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

Hammerfan fired twice again. Both shells seared their way into Doc's chest and he fell backwards heavily with a loud sigh. His body was wracked in a huge spasm of pain as he coughed once, and fell into the sand.

Newb nodded, approvingly. "Nice shooting, lady," he smiled.

"Thanks," Hammerfan replied with a nice smile, as she threw the empty shotgun away.

FORTUNATO and ROSHIQ heard the shots from their right and turned around. They knew some of their mates were nearby and onto the targets, and hurried forward towards them.

Soon enough, they came across Despare.

"MissM and me have done our job," Despare nodded at them. "Your turn now," he said and gestured forward. Both of them peered through the bushes at the sight ahead.

NE had reached Austin, and lay by his side. Both were breathing heavily, fighting back the spasms of pain which jolted through their bodies. Austin turned around at NE.

"You are in more danger than me. Here, take some HPs before some other Assassin comes across us."

"No, Austin. What if they target you instead?"

"I doubt it. They know you are running short on HPs. Here...," Austin reaches over into his HP bag and pulls some HPs out. "Keep these. Just in case."

NE looks at him, not entirely convinced. But he has no HPs left with him, and has no choice. Austin stuffs the 9 HPs into NE's HP bag, and winces with the effort.

"Damn!" Despare hits the ground in frustration.

"Don't worry, Des," Fortunato smiles at him."If plan A doesnt work, we go to plan B."

Both Fortunato and Roshiq hurry forward, crouching low. They circle beside both NE and Austin, and aim at them from separate angles.

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

Six shells rapidly disappear into Austin's legs and chest and he groans, falling back and keeling over. A weak hand reaches for his HPs and Austin feels a faint alarm stirring in his brains, which is quickly blotted out by the severe aches of the dull pain of his numerous wounds.

"GODDAMNIT!!" NE yells, shaking his fist at the bushes in front.

"NO!! DAMN YOU, Neverending!!" Roshiq shouts back at him, and fires.

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

All six shells blast through NE's body, leaving huge gaping holes on his belly and chest. He groans and doubles over, taking Austin's donated HPs out to heal himself and spasming in severe pain.

Where is Rayne? Rayne! Rayne...Ray...ne...Ra...y...ne...R...a...y...n...e ...R..., are his last thoughts before he passes out.

"...ending!! WAKE UP, NE!! Damnit!!"

NE opens his eyes, feebly. He looks around at the figures standing above him. Rayne!, is the first happy thought which resounds through his braincells.

BWIND stands beside her.

NE is suddenly reminded of Austin. "Wh...where is Aust...innn?"

Rayne and Bwind look around. Austin lies some way ahead, SEVERELY WOUNDED, bleeding profusely, all his HPs used up.

NE lifts himself in alarm, fighting back the pain. "Austinnn...he wanted to protect me and gave me 9 HPs. I think he might be in troubleee..." his words trail off.

Bwind rushes forward to Austin, and takes 3 HPs out. He patches up Austin carefully, and stands up again.

"He ll live and become fit," he announces to Rayne.

NE nods. "I ll stay with him," he tells Rayne. "You and bwind better go and find a good hiding place."

"No, NE," Rayne replies back. "I cannot leave you or Austin in this condition. What if they return back?"

"Listen to me," NE's voice grows slightly stronger."There's no sense in more of us getting hit. Just give us enough HPs to survive, and go. Quick!"

"Dammit! I hate this. But I don't have a choice. How many do you have left with you?" Rayne asks.

"Three from Austin's donated HPs," NE replies.

"Okay, I will give you some more," Rayne pulls some HPs out and stuffs them into NE's open HP bag. "You sure you can take care of yourself and Austin?"

NE nods, fighting off waves of dizziness from the intense pain.

Rayne lets out a deep breath, and nods at Bwind. Both of them run across the clearing and disappear from sight.

Austin lays on the ground, moaning and sighing slowly as the HPs heal his wounds. NE drags himself across the ground again, and closes in on him.


DUDE GUADALUPE looks across from him, and motions to PAUL THE MONK. Paul crouches instantly, and looks back at Dude questioningly. Dude waves once, and moves forward. Paul crawls from his place, and looks ahead.

Dude has broken through the undergrowth to the clearing where NE and Austin lie, breathing heavily inbetween slight moans and sighs, patched up with plenty of HPs.

Dude smiles at the sight, licks his lips, and lifts his shotgun to aim.

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

Two shells blast Austin's chest open. Austin grinds his teeth and groans loudly as he turns, as two more shells catch him on his belly. The last two shells break through his upper back and embed themselves on his shoulder plates, and he doubles up, coughing a lot of blood out.

NE stirs in frantic alarm, and hurries across in a crawl to Austin. He grabs a bunch of HPs in frenzy, and patches Austin up again, enough to stop the bleeding. Austin passes out.

NE waits, grimly, for the last shotgun to fire. He hastily counts the HPs left with him. THREE left, he thinks to himself.

Dude takes a couple steps back as he watches NE patch Austin up. He looks at Paul, and nods.

Paul jumps forward, immediately. He takes a long look at both NE and Austin, quietly deciding. Then he lifts his shotgun, decision made.

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

BLAM!!

More shells, NE thinks as he ducks into the base of the tree. Alarmed at not feeling any of the shots pass near him, he looks ahead at Austin. The shells have almost ripped Austin's body apart, wracking his body into big, mad spasms of pain.

NO!, NE thinks as he jumps forward, forgetting his own pain for an instant. I WONT LET YOU DIE, MY FRIEND! he grits his teeth and brings the final three HPs out to patch Austin up. Exhausted with the ordeal, NE falls forward with a final thought, Its done!! Damn sons of bitches have fired their last shotguns and we have survived!! Yesss...we...did...it...Aus...ti...nnnn...

NE passes out.

Someone nearby watches them quietly, and their empty HP bags. Now's my chance, he thinks grimly and moves forward.

NE has passed out. Austin is SEVERELY WOUNDED, and almost senseless.

The figure breaks through the bushes, and walks to where Austin lies. The shadow falls across Austin, and he lifts his head with a superhuman effort, his brain ringing huge alarm bells along with the jolts of pain.

The figure looks down at Austin, and takes a small, concealed, silenced gun out.

"This is for my comrades," the figure silently mumbles, loud enough for Austin to hear him. He aims at Austin's head, and squeezes the trigger once.

THWUMP!!

The bullet blasts through Austin's head, right between the eyes, and thuds into the ground behind his head, blowing Austin's brains out.


NIGHTMARE AUSTIN316426808 IS DEAD!!!!!


The figure looks grimly at Austin's body, and back at NE. It walks into the trees, and out of sight. The faint resonance of a whistling tune can be heard in wafts of wind which circle both NE and Austin's body.


Sorry Nightmares, you have lost one of your best members. My deepest condolences and sympathies. Battle Royale II will commence after a brief moment of silence for the fallen warrior.

Newb eased Hammerfan into the chopper, and jumped in. Both of them looked out and waved at ___V___.

___V___ mouthed a "Thank You" at them, and waved back with a smile.

The chopper soon lifted, and flew eastwards across the ocean.

NEWB broke through the bushes and looked around. He was given explicit instructions and licked his lips in anticipation. There is nothing like a good kickass hunt with plenty of beer thrown in the equation, he thought. He took a long swig from the small bottle he carried with himself and moved forward.

He noticed some tracks going forward and followed them. The tracks disappeared near the trunk of a large tree and Newb stopped, all senses on the alert. He looked around keenly and spotted nothing.

Just then, he heard a branch creak above him.

He looked up instantly, and spotted his target. DOC FAUSTUS!!

Doc froze for an instant as he looked back at Newb. He tried to turn around, but Newb jumped upwards and did a flip in mid-air, landing on the branches just below Doc.

"Hiya, Doc. They call me Newb," he winked at Doc and started shooting.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

Both shells caught Doc off-guard, and thundered into his belly. Doc fell forward, and Newb jumped right over him, somersaulting and flipping forward, and aiming directly at Doc in mid-air.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

BLAM!! BLAM!!

All 4 shells thumped into Doc's body before it even hit the ground. Doc fell down heavily on a clump of bushes, letting out a huge groan as the blood poured out. Newb landed right beside him and looked down.

"What do you think of Newb law, Doc?," Newb asked with a wide, wicked grin.

Doc turned around and crawled into the bushes, taking his HPs out quietly.


Newb whirled around, and winked towards his left. HAMMERFAN came forward, and looked at him questioningly.

"He went through the bushes over there," Newb gestured carelessly forward, taking his small beer bottle out again for another swig.

Hammerfan nodded and moved forward, following a thin trail of blood. She followed the track to the river, and saw nobody. Just then, someone broke through the water on the other side of the river and collapsed on the bank, reaching for something behind him.

It was Doc Faustus.

"Think you can aim and shoot that far, lady? Or do you need glasses?," Newb laughed as he followed Hammerfan's gaze.

Bad picture, but it was tough to find for some reason. He's called a Hunter. He's eight feet tall, and completely regenerative. He has two blades on his arms, and is a total bad ass in the game. Use him! :D

SHOCKING DEVELOPMENTS!!


***BATTLE ROYALE II SPYCAM #29 LIVE FEED (1907 HRS TO 1939 HRS)***


The newly formed compound of the Diablo Slayers. All the Slayers are busy getting to know each other and freely mixing and cracking some jokes, to ease the atmosphere between them.

Zoom to a corner. Neverending sits, quietly. Obviously reminiscing about Austin and his valiant death in protecting his life. He hasnt got to terms with his new team yet, and so prefers to sit alone for now.

SCRUNCH!!

The knife buries itself deep into NE's back, making him sigh once, then groan. The knife's blade breaks off, and stays embedded in NE's back. The figure who has stabbed NE from across the wall silently curses, and disappears.

NE lets out a whining moan at Bwind, who is roaming nearby and comes running at NE's cry. Some other Slayers hurry over as Bwind pulls the broken knife blade out of NE, who bleeds silently, SLIGHTLY WOUNDED.

Bwind takes a close look at the blade. Something white gleams at the bottom corner. Bwind's eyes light up.

***BATTLE ROYALE II SPYCAM #31 LIVE FEED (2031 HRS TO 2103 HRS)***


The Diablo Slayers compound again. Neverending is propped up in his bunker, dozing off, still bleeding slightly from his open wound. Bwind stands over him, keeping watch. The rest of the Slayers have obviously headed out to dinner.

Zoom in to the left. A tall, heavily-built figure sweeps into the room noiselessly. It creeps up behind bwind quietly and whacks him on his head.

THWACK!!

Bwind's eyes bulge for an instant in surprise, then roll over as he slumps to the floor.

The figure turns towards NE, who stirs in his uneasy nap.

A wicked knife glints in the low light, which comes down in a big rush on NE's chest.

SCRUNCH!!

NE lets out a big yell of pain. The knife is pulled back, revealing a slit of red across his lower ribs which quickly starts gushing blood. Voices are heard from the outside, and the figure beats a hasty retreat from where it had come.

Several Slayers walk in at that instant, and looking at the scene ahead, run forward. Dude bends over bwind and tries to wake him up. Fortunato puts a hand on NE's chest, trying to stop the bleeding. NE groans, clutching his chest, WOUNDED, and moans in pain.
