In terms of Dexter... First, I don't think that Michael C. Hall is that talented an actor. I feel as though, with every episode he's struggling. That coupled with the fact that some of his personality does NOT fit the typical serial killer profile at all - I thought that he needed to be significantly darker than he was; more sexually deviant - I think I wanted to have more dynamism between he and his girlfriend.

Also - All of the tertiary characters are awful; two-dimensional, painful to watch, and poorly acted.

And the reveal of the first season was predictable and contrived.

Maybe it gets better after that, but I was SORELY disappointed.



P.S. SCTV IS fantastic, but I've only seen bits and pieces, not enough to truly vote on it as being amazing.

I'm going with The Powerpuff Girls. I'll give it props for ushering in a new era of silly childrens cartoons that can be enjoyed by adults (something I love) and paving the way for shows like Invader Zim, Dexters Lab and Fairly Odd Parents.

Aside from that, I have a soft spot for the show and I'd hate to see it shut out.
