me too - i'll never get why people liked it so much. it was an ok cop buddy parody - but there's been a ton of them already. this one added 2 seconds of over the top gore to the mix - little else.

It worked on a lot of different levels - was far more than just a comedy.

It worked on a lot of different levels - was far more than just a comedy.
I'm going to have to say Knocked Up ...
And The Graduate wasn't far more than a comedy? I don't think I've ever seen a movie which grinds the line between comedy and drama more aggressively.

sure the Graduate was ... i was just rallying for Knocked Up which i think a lot of people only saw as a 'sex comedy'
my case was that it was far more than that ...
the graduate is a great film .. but Knocked Up was more real - appealed to me more on that level.
