I think Michael Myers vs. Pinhead would be a silly combination. They should use another serial killer type with Michael Myers, like Jason or Leatherface. Maybe they could pit him against Simon from "The Ugly."

If they want a "Pinhead vs." movie, they should pit him against another supernatural monster type (rather than just an unstoppable human maniac), like Samara/Sadako from "The Ring/Ringu" or a classic movie monster like Dracula.

Im saying right now that this concept is total crap. As if the last 3 Hellraiser/Halloween movies didnt suck enough- a "Vs" film would truely kill the franchises. Picture Bionce Noels standing opposite Doug Bradly spouting some cheesy one liner about how shes got "soul' or somthing equally as trite befor she attacks him with a bat. Come on. If this does get made I garantee there will be thousands of hardcore horror fans who will be seriously let down (yet again) by a genre that become more camp and parody than actual story telling.

The reason Dimension is proposing this to the fans is because they own the rights to both characters. This would be the easiest way for them to cash in on the sucess of the Freddy vs. Jason movie and the inevitable success of Alien vs. Predator. If you recall it took forever for New Line Cinema to buy the rights to the Friday the 13th series from Paramount, and that is why the Freddy vs. Jason flim took so long to materialize. I do agree with the masses on the issue however, this film wouldn't be nearly as successful for the simple reason that the Freddy and Jason characters have cross over popularity tha t appealled to a wide audience. I would consider Michael Myers to have the same sort of popularity, but not Pinhead.

I hope all of you know that this match-up shouldn't ever cross the minds of anyone...ever. "Pinhead", a name I don't like to use, since it isn't his original name (watch the Hellraiser movies and you'll find out) isn't one to be put up against a mindless stupid slasher. The whole basis of the Hellraiser films were to focus on the trappings of flesh, and Halloween was meant to only shock some people for a few minutes in the 70's. Random comment, the only good Hellraiser films were the first, second and fifth. The thrid, fourth and sixth just blow the entire idea of Clive Barker's work away. And if this movie is made, I know they won't include the original actor of the first movie, Douglas Bradley, who is a great friend of Clive, and was once in his acting crew named, "The Dog Company." I hope someone took time to read this.

Honestly and to be totally frank....I haven't paid to see a horror flick in quite some time. They just haven't made one that I believe would scare me. The Ring was good but didn't have a scare factor and that goes for everything. Maybe I've been desensitized by all the horror movies i've seen in my life. I even have my 13 year old daughter agreeing with me on this. We are DYING to be terrorized by a good horror flick. We continue watching the follow-ups to the classics like freddy and jason and micheal because we love them, but we want a high scare factor. I think the closest we got was eight legged freaks and that was only because they were spiders, not because it was scary! Maybe the TCM remake will get us there! Here's hoping!

I just dont like the idea of cashing in on old characters.
Sequals are sometimes needed 2 get the entire story out,
but why the bloodyHell cross-breed movies from different 'worlds' in order 2 come up with some VS CRAP.... i think the 'FrightFight', 'who will win?' bullBlood,, has got 2 stop somewhere. Lets get back to the creative roots....

hell yeah!! i saw freddy vs jason and i thought that it went well. i just hope they keep their word and end both movies!! if they did michael vs pinhead it could be interesting. considering they are way to much apart (story wise) i mean. i just hope that if they do that it is an official end of michael and pinhead. dont get me wrong im a huge fan of freddy, jason, michael myers, pin head. but you got to admit that these searies of film have gone on far to long. all good things come to an end and i think the vs films are the best way to do that. because i cant think of any better way to end them then to have them meat, fight it out and winner takes all and goes home forever. besides a michael vs pin head has posabilaty for greatness, and insanity. if you take michael and have a person open the box and sacrafice themself then have the 2 meat and then go to hell and fight it could be very interesting considering michael will go where he belongs and have him battle not knowing he has to get out in a serton time and is stuck forever. that could be a fitting end to a madman like michael. i think it should be done. then you could have leatherface vs chuckie just for kicks.

Making a movie between Mike Myers and Pin-Head would be kind of good I think it will help both franchises rise. The last halloween movie did not do as well as expected. If this movie is made the winner should be in line a sequel and the loser must be dead and never make a sequel for them. This will help one franchise very big and the studio will cash in on not only the battle movie , but the sequel that is planned for the winner of the battle. Oh and the plot must be reasonable too.

It's depressing, but true - "Dracula vs Frankenstein 2" (alias "Myers vs Pinhead") will probably happen. :(

Personally, I will dump all over it, I will download and share a pirated screener and tell people to do the same, so that the trash hopefully bombs miserably in theatres. I will not see it in cinema, I will not buy it on DVD or tape, I will not support it in any way.

I truly believe the only other character that could go up against Jason and be a real contender that is very much like his character ... an equal if you will... is Micheal Myers. I dont really care who fights who. But when you think about Michael vs Pinhead it would be a really good movie. Pinhead has better diolog than freddy does so it would be more creepy. And Michael is better than jason. I think pinhead would win because he would just tear Michael apart with those chains. Jason vs Michael would be cul but the diolog would suck but the brawl would be cool because Michael is not a pussy like freddy is and Michael could take more blows by jason with that dam machete. All in all i think he vs movies would be cool

I have to disagree. Now that they have dabbled with the concept of a vs movie i hope they intend to move on. They all need to gang up and take out some really good guys. An apocalyptic showdown between the minions of hell (Pinhead, Freddy, Jason, ect...) Vs an army of Angels. Humans being both Good and Evil would align themselves accordingly.

Get ready for the movie to happen anyway. Moviemakers never cared if they were grinding a character in the dirt by making a cheap, badly written, gawdaweful sequel to a brilliant first movie. Freddy was turned to rubbish at the second movie. Pinhead was turned to crap in the third movie. The list could go on endlessly.

Ultimately, like politics, it won't be the opinion that makes a difference as much as a movie that they can either make a couple of bucks, or break even making and producing.

I agree with a few posts that I've seen on the internet. Put Freddy, Jason, Mike, Leatherface, Pinhead and maybe a few others in there and make a completely ludicrous movie containing all of them and give the brilliant first timers ruined by hollywood a final epitaph. Give them a proper resting place in the archives of characters that Hollywood has ruined with over senationalism and bad writing.

What utter and complete rubbish. Hell, why not have them battle the fugging Pokemon too?

Further dabbling with a decent concept movie can and has produce good results in the right hands, BUT it doesn't mean one should open a franchise. We don't need the "McDonald's" of VS. movies to litter our movie theaters. Noone over 13 cares about that crap. One is enough unless you need to further (and tactfully) tell the scope of a story that got partially covered by the first. You can only keep a concept a novelty, if you don't over exploit it.

If you want the VS. stuff...maybe they'll be kind enough to make a video game and you can kill your characters off to your hearts content. But maybe some of the movie goers can scare a few writers into not insulting our appetites for a good scare.

Rubbish like Freddy vs. Jason is further proof of just how intelligent movie makers view their audience.
