Well, thank you, but the work on it is actually quite excellent...QUITE excellent...it's just extremely hard to pick it up from the lighting and the angle that I took this pic...My arm is twisted and it distorting the details...I've had people cross a room to compliment it and they all rave about how micro-detailed it is. I'll post a better pic in a tattoo thread (if it exists)...

And essentially I wound up with a Sphynx because my ex essentially said, "Sure, we can get a cat... But only if they're the hairless kind!"

Awesome! I remember seeing a lodge on my way to school everyday on the bus ride through the woods. Didn't think it was what I saw at first, but I noticed trees near it bitten down. It was eventually washed away and I don't think I've seen them build it back, I don't drive that way these days. It's too close to the road and people there hunt illegally so chances are they got wise and left. At least I hope so.

It'll stay on it's a tight fit. I got the top part stuffed with paper as well as the fin and tail. It's tall, one of the places I'm gonna be partyin' at has low ceilings with ceiling fans, hangin' light fixtures, and lots of garland and stuff. I'm thinkin' I might get snagged on somethin'.

Yeah man you're not bad looking at all. Don't take that the wrong way or anything but if you found the right social group in your area, you work yourself up. I used to be very shy and anti-social in groups of people I didn't know and I still antisocial to an extent but I do find it a lot easier being able to mingle with strangers than I used to. The best way to get over being an anti-social person is to be brave and take a leap of faith. Well there are assholes in this world you would be surprised the reception you would get from people that you are nice to who can appreciate that.

With that said, it is good to venture out of your comfort zone sometimes which is what you would be doing if you were to go out and start seeing and that is a huge step toward in building self confidence.

thank you! I have actually gotten a lot of compliments since I got it cut And I like it as well. I mean I like long hair but for one thing it's very hot in Las Vegas and having long hair is not very fun in the desert and I just feel like this style fits my facial structure better than when I had long hair.

I feel like I would be a lot happier with myself if I could just move away from my Mom but it will take time. I can't just up and leave because I have no way of transportation and I can't work because I would loose my disability benefits and in order to get my benefits I need somebody like my Mom to be my payee.

I know my Mom loves me but I don't think it was right for her to keep me from growing up for so long just because of my disabilty. There are plenty of people with Aspergers and Bipolar Disorder who do an OK job of taking care of themselves.

I just saw some of the pictures and conversation.

I wanted to step in and say, don't make your perception/attractiveness to others be your driving factor in getting fit, losing weight, making changes.
This is gonna sound like a line but honestly - if you focus on getting yourself fit and above all HEALTHY you'll live better, you'll move better, you'll be stronger and the stuff that kind of happens on auto pilot inside your head when this is all taking place...that will make changes to your personality, how you carry yourself, confidence levels etc.

I'm married. let myself go a lot, for a long time...right now I have a shitload of weight I need to drop...and I know how hard it seems...though I also know how easy it actually is. I've knocked off weight before, and trust me...most of it is the psychological battle you wage against "lazy you", which is a big part of us all.

You just need to be patient. Don't hop on the scales all the time. Don't worry about the numbers, the times, anything like that - just worry about the things you have to do.

Eat right. Cut the shit you know you shouldn't eat/drink by at least 80%. Super fatty, deep fried foods. Foods that are high in sugar. Night snacks (after dinner just keep it light...if you eat while bored - take a walk) and lots of bread and/or processed food are bad things.
Keep it fresh.
Introduce fish to your diet. Eat salad even if you don't like it.
Don't kill your vegetables - just give them a steam or a blanch.
Learn how to make some seasoning mixes and dressings.

I've been making some changes with the wife over the last week...she's been smashing it...I'm actually on day today 1 of re-attending gym (later tonight) and the "full" diet.
Nutella had to go. Takeaway food. Chocolate. Biscuits/cookies. Ice Cream. Soda. Definitely soda. Gah. Save more money on this shit than I'm spending on gym.

You guys can do it...and it's way easier physically than it is mentally...you just need to retrain how you think when it comes to this stuff. Many people do.
Just make sure the number one person you do it for is you (and yknow maybe your future generations). The physical stuff becomes habitual. Just get yourself to do it. Once you've started it's easy.

I know what I need to do, I just need to get in the right mental status and get it done. Shit, quitting smoking was easier than this.

when I decided to get the surgery I Did It For My Health. Now I work out also for my health and As I said before, it helps me build confidence. I know looks do matter When it comes to finding people attractive. It has nothing to do with being shallow, it's just what attracts you. It's not your fault and it's not their fault. I know I'm not the prettiest thing out there but I also know I'm not the ugliest thing out there but With that said, I'm not really a random hookup kind of guy anyway. I mean I would do it, I have done it, it's just that Isn't really my thing, I'd rather be having sex in a meaningful relationship. In a place like Las Vegas there are lots of choices for men and women and with my looks aside, I just feel like I don't have the proper Mojo or social skills to
Pick up women. For the time being I am just trying to focus on me And work on the things I need to work on and then maybe next year when I start back the college I can meet someone and see what happens from there.

Yeah I understand because I am only 28 and I have no muscle tone and my body is very flabby. My dietitian is actually worried about how I seem to be loosing muscle mass. I guess I just need to exercise more but I hate exercise.

Weight training will build up your muscles, which weigh more than fat does so if you start working out and don't lose any weight, you will put on a little extra weight But if you are also dieting and exercising it will even out.

I don't think anyone really needs to see a therapist about it...or that one could help by more than making some suggestions anyway.
Even with appetite suppressants you can still physiologically "feel like eating".

I eat when I'm bored. Anxious. Upset. Is that an eating disorder? Greed? Something like some weird self soothing behaviour?
No clue.
It's still gonna be a thing, even when I'm eating less/healthier.
Though you do find after doing it successfully for a bit, you actually get hungry a lot less...but it's that passive eating thats a harder brain re-train, was/is for me anyway.

Ha, my best self control is to just not buy any of the "bad" stuff or have it around, because I can't stop thinking about it when it is.
You're right though, it's way hard - the exercise thing is a lot easier by comparison.

Cheeba, if you are going to compare your eating habits to one of the seven deadly sins, it would be gluttony. Gluttony has to do with the over ingesting of not just food but pretty much anything. I would say you sound like the typical human being. I used to eat when I felt the same ways but since I had my gastric surgery I don't eat very much at all.

I could actually see somebody going to a therapist for having an eating disorder. I need look at all the people who go 2 see therapist and psychiatrist or whatever to stop smoking. They get hypnotized and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If an eating disorder is a psychological disorder perhaps medicine could help but I don't know. Back when I ate way too much I never really thought about it but I think most of mine came from nerves of everything I went through as a child which made me large at an early age. I was always a chubby kid but in my early teens when a lot of physical abuse started, I started eating a lot more and it continued until I finally did something about it.

I actually used to be really skinny as a kid up until I was 14 and I started putting on more and more pounds because I was taking medications like Risperdal which caused me to gain a lot of weight as a negative side effect.

Like you I really didn't start loosing weight until after I had surgery for my galbladder and being taken off Risperdal helped a lot.

I've had my gallbladder removed as well as my appendix, tonsils and adenoids. I was prescribed Risperdal once. I actually tried to kill myself with it after I found out my ex was cheating on me. Just one would knock me out all day and I took over 51 night and drink a 12-pack of Mickey's on top of that. Somehow I woke up the next morning and wasn't even hungover. I should have died but I didn't. That's the only thing that makes meateater between atheism and being agnostic. Somehow I feel like divine intervention could have played a role there.
