I have seen the cheesey death thread, but I have not seen your ideas on the best or most memorable death in a horror movie disscused yet.

Here is mine.

This scene comes from "Dog Soldiers", it is the scene where Spoon is battling the werewolf for his life. The reason I chose this scene is because of all the horror flicks I watch most of the victims try to run away. Almost no one stands up to the insane thing trying to kill them.

Anyhowls this scene is very enjoyable to watch Spoon literally throws everything that is not nailed down at the werewolf. He even manages to take out one of the were's tooth, which comically enough gets stuck like a dart into the door frame. At the end of the scene Spoon uters the best tag line I have ever heard in a werewolf movie. "I HOPE I GIVE YOU THE SHITS!!!"

There is my most memorible death scene what are yours.

Without a doubt, I will never get the treetops sequence from Wrong Turn that leads up to the most memorable axe head-split I have ever seen.

In second place would be Tatum's garage door head crush in Scream.

Yes both very memorable death scenes. I also enjoyed the arrow through the eye of the forest ranger in "Wrong Turn" very well done.

The most shocking death scene that still stands out to me is the death scene at the beginning of "Ghost Ship."

I don't want to spoil it for anyone who has not seen the movie.

Most memorable to me

Puppet Master 2

When Tunneler drills the whole in the one guy's head. That is fucking hardcore. I remember that one above all because that was my first real encounter with gore in a movie.

Margot Kidder's death in BLACK CHRISTMAS has to be one of the greatest one of all time.

The flying ball scene in "Phantasm" was pretty cool, if not memorable...

Freddy Krueger.

I'll never forget the kill in Nightmare 3 (Dream Warriors) when the TV Freddy says, "welcome to prim time, bitch!" and slamed the girl into the TV tube. Or the one when Freddt made that boy jump off that building by movin him like an puppet, also in Nightmare 3.

I kinda thought in Jason X when he plunged the girls head in the liquid nitrogen and her expression froze was pretty interesting.

Also when the logging truck broke loose and the log flew through the windshield of the state police officer right through his head.

That was realistic looking as hell too, movie was kinda odd since it showed a ton of ways to kill something and make it look like a freak of nature. Granted all those chains of events to the end would be pretty damn hard to come by, but still.

You know, Final Destination (1 and 2) were pretty creative in the death department.
