i Couldnt see anything after clicking the link, but i am ssuming this is in america.

We have a bit of a problem with both racism and political correctness here. It is perfectly pc for any non-white, straight male to start their own group that excludes all others.

Unfortunately, there are a good number of straight white guys in this country, throughout history, that have shown when "we" get into groups of our own, it is usually a bunch of racist morons (like, oh say, the KKK and neo-nazis) that have created a stigma agaisnt it, because 90% of the time it IS racism being execrised. Why the other 10% give a shit is beyond me. Start a dungeons and dragons group if ou want nothign but white straight guys to hang out with. They'll all be virgins, too, so you'll be even more exclusive.

There is also the fact that white folks in America are a clear majority. We dont NEED exclusive clubs to meet other white people if we want to. Other groups arent so lucky. i checke dout the stats for the county i live in the other day, and our black population is .06%.... that figures to about 1400 people out of the 29000 in the COUNTY. New england, is a white people's club...

It has everythingto do with attitudes over the past 200 years in this country. the only people who are caucasian that generally show any pride in their "white heritage are racists.


The funny thingis, there is no real "white history" in this country. we are all mixes of so many countries, it is impossible to nail down any real ethnic group for a lot of us. Personally i am (in order from greatest to leat):
German
Irish
English
Scottish
French
Portuguese
Italian

Kinda hard to pick one to have "pride" in, especially the german part.. that would get me labeled as a nazi in no time.

There is this stupid movement inthis country where a lot of us "who have had everythign handed to us" people are getting really whiny. I dont beleive in the whoel white guilt thing, i have never done a thing to any one of any race because of their race. if i was rude or mean, its because they sucked as a person.

These days, unless you are an older person who was around for the 60s, you really have to get over the whole white/black thing (for starters). i have known as many whiet people get shit for being white as i have black people who got shit for being black. its wrong either way.

We just need to get over it. I AM tired of getting treated as an exception because of what people who looked like me did for a few hundred years, but i wasnt one of them. If soemone wants to start a "white club" i have a few suggestions:

Its not funny, so if you are being a smartass, stop it.
If you ARE a racist, put a gun in your mouth and pull the trigger; you will never be happy do give up on life.
if you are really that naive, get some councilling. There is a real world outside your doorstep.
If you REALLY just want to revel in your white heritage, get OVER it...the odds of you having a direct lineage is almost impossible, so why not just be happy being you, and join a chess club?

I worked with a guy who bought into the whole image, down to a stupid little gold chain and always wearing his hat sideways (A professional working tech support for a corporation, no less)... I made a comment one time that he was trying to be black and he got PISSED.

I thought it was interesting that he wanted the look, the lingo, and listened to the music, but didnt want to be associated with them in any other way. he had no black friends, and was actually pretty racist when he spoke about black people. I guess the "culture" is attractive to stupid white peopel. K-fed anyone?

I've read the history books and such and yes the europeans (historically wise) weren't probably the nicest people in the world - I particularlly hate this idea that there is only one true "christian" god and everyone elses' false.

A few years ago a friend of mine worked over in Nigeria, she used to send me the local newspaper, in english of course - one story was about a nigerian farmer who was talking about his normal year, this year he was facing famine, some of his cattle had died, his wife was sick with malaria and he had three children (under ten to look after) after all this is answer was "with the grace of god and his son, Jesus, everything will get better", faith is one thing but, I find it quite alarming, not that he believed in God, but that someone went to Nigeria at some point and taught everyone that the Christian religion was the only one. How dare they.

Throughout history man, as I have said has done some pretty nasty things - child prostitution, slavery, drug trafficking, genocide all done by white Europeans, funnily enough they still happen, but not just by"white" people.

I also hate the idea that only white people are racist; there's racism in all races/colours/creeds.

In Britain, we have segregated schools (by race and religion and sex), teachers allowed to wear ethnic costumes, we are not allowed to wear crucifixes in public in case we offend anyone, "how dare you mention Easter or Christmas, my faith doesn't believe in it", yeah but you still take Christmas Day off don't you. Bull shit political correctness gone way over the top and a possible reason for the problems in the first place. Everybody is trying not offend anyone else, while offending their own.

btw: My heritage is English, Scottish, Irish, and German, I am a White Anglo Saxon Protestant- which probably makes me a perfect candidate for the KKK. I call asian people - asian/oriental, afro-carribean - afro carribean, white - white, I am not part of the (British) National Front, which I believe has affiliations with the KKK.

Everyone (at least Americans) remembers the DC Beltway Snipers right? Well, thye were both black and they shot and killed about a dozen random white people.
