So Bruce Campbell came to Iowa to promote his new book. I found out an HOUR before the whole deal was done, so I ran over there. I wait in line for 45 minutes, find out that I NEED to buy a book for him to autograph, so I gotta run to a bookstore and buy it for 15 bucks... run back, make it just in time to be the last person.
But here's the juice. I got him to sign my Maniac Cop DVD (which he constantly made fun of), and I said "Hey, good luck on the remake" in reference to Evil Dead. Here's what he said...
"Yeah, sorry... Ashton Kutcher."
Take that as you will.

Some girl did, and he just started laughing.
Another girl just showed him her tattoo of a pot leaf and he started screaming, "Awww, bring it on!"

That will be a new classic remark in here, together with "the gate".

I probably would have proposed gay sex! (Even though I'm not gay and neither is he, I think it might be worth a shot if Ash was in.)
...Just kidding.

Thats what the word is. I read on other forums where other people have met Bruce too. And he said "Ashton" was playing Ash. I hope that this is good joke

Bruce and Sam are the 2 driving forces behind this remake..they would not let that happen. I have heard Seann William Scott (Stifler) and Nicholas Brendon (TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and the darkhorse is Justin Theroux ("Charlies Angels: Full Throttle," "Mulholland Drive"). Im giving my vote to Justin ...how about you all..?

Well, I don't really like any of the choices, but I really don't want this remake to happen...so nothing will make me happy. But Justin Theroux is a far better choice than Ashton Kutcher....*shudders*

I aint sayin' its true, maybe he was just joking. "Ash", "Ashton"... maybe it was a good ol' Bruce Campbell joke.
But it made me worry.

There's a couple of movies at Netflix that he's in but I haven't queued them up yet.
