"Dead Birds" Coming Your Way

Alex Turner and Silver Nitrate have begun production on "Dead Birds",  civil war occult thriller starring Henry Thomas, Nicki Aycox, Isaiah Washington, Patrick Fugit, Michael Shannon and Mark Boone.

"Birds" tells the story of an unlucky band of Confederate renegade soldiers hiding out in a plantation house after committing a bank robbery. The house, of course, has dark secrets which reveal themselves to the trapped and terrified crooks.

Growing up the son of print photographer Pete Turner supplied Alex Turner with what he calls "a steady diet of incredible images" from all over the world, which convinced him that he wanted to be a director. He made his first horror movie at age 9 on a Super-8 camera, but has worked mainly on music videos and commercials since, along with producing two well-received short films. "Dead Birds" will be Turner's first full-length movie.
