His Name Was Jason… and Jason, and Jason, and Jason
On a pleasant Tuesday night in Burbank, CA., Dark Delicacies Bookstore hosted a reunion of one of the most unpleasant movie villains of all time: Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame.
At this signing event for the most comprehensive disc dissertation on the franchise to date, His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th, the store was not only jam-packed with the foe's fans, but with actors and filmmakers from the originals, the remake, and of course the documentary.

Personally, I've been having a ball with all the recent machete mania. As HDC's readers may know, I have a few moments to say my piece about the franchise in His Name Was Jason, as well as taking part in some of the newly-produced upcoming featurettes in the upcoming re-release of Friday the 13th part V: A New Beginning. Me and Uncle Creepy (webmaster over at Dread Central) already recorded an "MST3000K" style fan commentary, in which we mercilessly tease Shavar Ross, who plays Reggie The Reckless in the 1985 flick.
So, it was really fun for me to cover this event. I met Shavar for the first time. I also got to meet the awesome Amy Steel and the gorgeous Gloria Charles, plus reunite with friendly acquaintances like loveably dorky Derek Mears and the cool Kane Hodder.
I took a bunch of photos, plus geeked out and got in a few — enjoy!
