"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake producer Michael Bay has signed with The William Morris Agency. Bay's success with "Bad Boys II" and TCM has had all five of the major talent agencies hot on his trail. Sources have said that WMA's list of other clients was one of the main reasons that Bay decided to go with them. Other recent signings by WMA include Ridley Scott and Terry Gilliam.

Bay also believes that William Morris will be receptive to the quirky kinds of material he wants to direct. One of his upcoming projects is "Pain and Gain," based on the true story of kidnapping, extortion, and murder done by some steroid-ed up bodybuilders from Gold's Gym. Bay is also working on a television crime show for ABC.

"Twin Peaks" writer/director, and all around strange guy, David Lynch will receive a life achievement award at Sweden's Stockholm International Film Festival in November. Lynch will be the honorary guest at the fest and he has selected five of his films for showings. One evening of the festival has also been designated as "Twin Peaks Night".

Other than the "Twin Peaks" movie and television show, David Lynch is known to genre fans for a number of horror-ish themed films including "The Elephant Man," "Dune," and "Mulholland Dr." This year's Stockholm festival will be dedicated to the late great Katharine Hepburn.
