Tombs of the Blind Dead news...
Anyone out there have the Anchor Bay Blind Dead double-feature DVD and are impatiently awaiting Blue Underground's rumored Blind Dead box set so they can finally complete their collection? Well, I've checked Blue Underground's list of upcoming releases for the rest of the year, and the Blind Dead aren't on it. But....Brentwood has the last two Blind Dead movies on various of their four- and ten-packs. You can actually pick up both together on the ten-pack Deadtime Stories. They're presented under the titles Night of the Death Cult (AKA Curse of the Seagulls) and Zombie Flesh Eaters (AKA Horror of the Zombies, Ghost Galleon, etc) and are, as far as I know, completely uncut. They're at least the same length as all my bootlegs, which are suppesed to be uncut. I've bought four different bootlegs of Zombie Flesh Eaters, all claiming to be uncut, and all are the same version without nudity or violence. So I assume the third entry was strangely sedate.
Night of the Seagulls rocks, though, and this will at least hold us over until someone gives them a proper release!!!!
