Shogun's Joy Of Torture

I have to admit, I am wildly curious about this film. I can't seem to find it anywhere though. Has anyone seen it, and if so, is it worth continuing to look for it?

I haven't got round to this one myself yet along with a bunch of Teruo Ishii's other flicks.

I caught Shogun's Sadism (Oxen Split Torturing) awhile back and thought it was good.

Twisted stuff that the Japanese director's pull off so well. I'd buy it right away if I saw it. Most of the places I get stuff from don't seem to stock Japan Shock stuff unfortunatley.

Think I'll watch Horrors Of Malformed Men tonight seeing as your thread has reminded me of it :D

I think I'll have to see what other Teruo Ishii films might be available. His work looks incredible.

I watched Guinea Pig Devil's Experiment recently; for some reason the act called 'The Sound' disturbed me the most. No blood or beatings, just a sound.

Noribumi Suzuki is a really good director you should check out.

Sure this era of flicks had overtly exploitative aspects but they were so classy and well made.

This overview might be of interest.

I'm pretty new to it all really but Suzuki has really made me quite an eager fan of it all.

Oxen Split Torturing seems to be more widely available for some reason. I get quite confused with all the alternate titles a lot of these film get released under too.
